We went to the Smoking Pit BBQ to celebrate my husband's birthday. He loves BBQ and we are always looking for a good place. We were seated promptly, but near a boys baseball team. The parents were not paying any attention to the boys and they were running around and some were screaming. I was so glad to see them leave. I felt the management should have said something to them.Service was very casual - perhaps a little too casual. The food came out quickly but first, another server brought food to us that we did not order. We ended up having to flag down another server to have the food removed from our table. We ordered the Wolf Turds, Burnt Ends and a 2 meat plate with 2 sides. The appetizers (Wolf Turds and Burnt Ends were recommended on another site). These may have been the best part of the meal. The Wolf Turds are jalapeno peppers stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in bacon and smoked - what's not to love? The Juicy Burnt Ends are glazed with a sweet sauce and are slightly crunchy on the outside but tender on the inside. Fantastic flavor! For the meat combo, we ordered the brisket (1/2 lean, 1/2 fatty) and ribs. My husband really enjoyed the home made sauces, but we had to help ourselves to them from another table. The server never offered them - rather odd. The fatty brisket is the best and the ribs were quite good. The misses were definitely the sides - cornbread was meh - macaroni and cheese sounded good on the menu, but it was very rich - a little went a long way. I also prefer mine with more crunch. The coleslaw was practically tasteless - a real disappointment for hubby who really likes coleslaw. KFC coleslaw is better than this.Dessert was better. We ordered the peach cobbler (warmed) with vanilla ice cream. The cobbler was pretty good but could have used more sugar - mine is better. But the server brought out a complimentary piece of Peanut Butter pie. Now that is really good - whipped cream, light peanut butter filling with an oreo cookie pie crust. We would definitely order that on another visit! We were there early evening on a Saturday night and noticed they have live music at this location starting at 9 pm.We would probably come back again or try the San Jose locations, but we would definitely try different sides.

In the area on business and went here for lunch with a group of four. The staff took our orders promptly. Our food (three shared appetizers and four entrees) all arrived at our table in a timely manner along with our drinks. I enjoyed the lunch Chicken Entrée along with the shared Pot Stickers, Fried Shrimp and Fish Pancake. Everyone enjoyed their food and the prompt service got us back to work in a timely manner. Will definitely visit again if back in the area.

I like this location and interior set up is better than the San Jose location. We came here to celebrate my brother's birthday. We ordered lots of meat for the grill but our favorites are: beef bulgogi, red wine pork belly, Hawaiian steak and head on prawns. Today we ate a new item – spicy rice cake. This was a mixed review of 50/50 pro and con.The staff was efficient with only a few prompts but overall – excellent. The smaller room has the nicer ambiance. And even though the tables are near one another, you do not hear someone else's conversation. We will return to this location for sure.
