Food was very good quality. English speaking, friendly, black gentleman sat me (sorry I didn't get his name) & kept checking back with me since his English was so good & he saw I appreciated that especially since I was dining alone. Good food at the buffet. Price was good, BUT then they tacked on piano player tip and waiter tip without telling. No drink NOR dessert included in the price either. Not even water nor juice is included in price. Great location as I was able to see the beach, then watch a street performer while I ate. Ask for a seat near the windows. Their stop/go indicator is just a small cardboard thing you flip on the table, so the servers can't really see it well. Pianist was very good; and played many American songs all night.Hi! Estávamos de passagem por Fortaleza e resolvemos conhecer o Kina por indicação de varios amigos! Fomos na semana (também no domingo mas para comprar e levar para casa). Local agradável, simples, atendimento ótimo! Parabéns!!!! Pedimos a panelada, o feijão verde, baião de dois, a costela de carneiro e porco e o carneiro desossado. Espetinhos de frango (achei que passou um pouco do ponto) e de coração de frango! Preços ótimos! Possuem uma carta de drinks bem interessantes (não provei!) Ao retornar por aqui farei uma nova visita!

For who really want to have a nice steak I recommend the Short rib Wagyu (R$120) sharing for two. Everything is tastefull and the service is very good as well. Vale a pena ir e comer bem!

Estávamos com vontade de comer um churrasco BBB, pesquisando no trip encontramos a Poranga. Apesar da dificuldade de estacionar, o atendimento foi rápido, cardápio farto e super simples de entender. Eu e meu filho pedimos um kit 500g de picanha com linguiça, baião e batatinhas fritas. Maravilhoso... A carne chegou ao ponto, super macia e deliciosa, e o melhor, um preço justo!Super recomendo.

Today, August 15th 2015, we visited Cantinho do Frango SUL to have lunch but unfortunately the food we were served was terrible and the management was equally bad.We ordered one of their signature dishes known as the BBQ pork with crackling (Costela suÃna desossada à pururuca) but when the dish arrived the meat was underdone and the cracking was raw.We sent the dish back 3 times, each time with the same problem! The manager acknowledged the problem saying that the BBQ chef was new, however they couldn't resolve the problem. Other guests near our table also complained about their underdone meat.Another problem was that we ordered a portion of 400 grams (of BBQ pork) but they only gave us 300 grams and only when I pushed the issue that they acknowledge the problem and apologized.After and 1 hour and 30 minutes the manager brought to our table the FOURTH attempt at the dish but even she acknowledged that it was wrong and offered another dish. (WHY would you ever bring wrongly cooked food to a customer knowing it is wrong???).In all that time we had consumed a couple of drinks, a portion of fries and some bean stew yet no main dish. The manager told us that she could do nothing else hence we asked for the bill so we could leave.Considering the problems we had we thought that the manager would offer us a discount in the bill or some sort of complementary drinks, but nothing. I even asked the manager about what she thought of our service and what she could offer us - her reply was "I have done everything to please you and this isn't my fault"!When we tried to pay the bill by credit card there was a problem with their machine and they put the blame on my card saying there was something wrong with it. I asked them to find another machine to take payment which they eventually did and my card went through.It seems that the management at Cantinho do Frango SUL are excellent at NOT finding solutions, BLAMING others for their problems and not actually caring enough about customer feedback.

A planned re-union of friends to welcome back a lost traveller. There were about 16 women, and just me as the only guy! Sadly the restaurant staff spoke very little English which exactly matched the extent of my Portuguese, but I was still able to navigate around the excellent lunchtime menu and ensure that I had plenty to drink whilst the girls did what girls together do - talk!The food was excellent, the service was attentive without being overbearing and they had everything in had to split the bill for each couple or solo.Hi phicox,Thank you for visiting our restaurant and we were happy with your satisfaction. We were recommended this restaurant by a friend. After a warm welcome we got a English speaking waiter that really took care of us. This was really a fantastic experience. Great food and drinks and a very positive atmosphere. After a carpaccio as a starter we ate prawns with a curry sauce and rice and a T-Bone steak with two different side orders of potatoes. This was really a pleasure and tasted fantastic. They also offered a good variety of red wines in different price ranges. We ended with two different desserts. Prices are compared to other restaurants little more expensive but it's really worth it! Everything was flawless and I highly recommend everyone to visit this restaurant. Thank you so much for this compliment. We are very happy to be notest like that. Best regards.
