We were here in sept 19. Although the restaurant markets it self as a bbq-restaurant, it serves excellent vegan (!) dishes that deserves appreciation and a lot attention, I had the best vegan morroccan stew I have ever tried, while my company was served juicy meats freshly grilled. All in all a hidden jewel for meat eaters and plant eaters alike! Hot tip: try the vegan cappucino, its sooo good!

You might miss it on entering Paul do Mar after the long 2.5 km tunnel but you should go back and try this wonderful unassuming restaurant which serves excellent fresh seafood at great prices! We were recommended it and we were not disappointed, if you are in the area you should try it too!

This is almost a repeat of my previous review - no apologies.Went for Sunday lunch with local Madeiran friends. Heaving again, packed with locals but good service.Madeiran steak excellent with lots to accompany it. The milho (fried corn) still the best I've had on the island. They kindly repeated the vegan bake for my wife and again half was taken home for dinner the next day.The staff were attentive and friendly throughout and the cost was very reasonable.Highly recommended.

After spending a fantastic day in Porto Moniz at the natural lava pools, my husband and I were headed Back to Funchal. We really wanted to experience local un-tourist restaurant. Jackpot!!We made the trek up the mountain and well and behold, found this little gem nestled between mountains and the sea. Ordered the espetada on laurel leaf skewers, grilled to perfection. Next, salad and milho frito. All excellent! Finished off with a coffee and a nice portion of their maracuja panna cotta dessert. Amazing flavour. Service was impeccable and Bernadette who served us, spoke perfect English. Weekends are difficult to find a spot. Glad we made it here on a Friday night. Had the whole place to ourselves. Worth the trek up! You won’t regret it!Thank you so much for your lovely review, we do appreciate it when guests take some of their valuable time to recognise our efforts in giving the best quality and service that we can provide, we hope to welcoming you again in your next visit, see you soon. Best regards
