A beergarden in middle of Kottenforst Ville (forest and lake-district. Walking, bathing, canoeing, biking, riding Homemade specialities and great sortiment of drafted and strong beers. Also local wines (Ahr&Mosel), natural fruit juices and different lemon
We went here after reading a lot of positive reviews. Did we visit the same place as the people that posted the very positive reviews? I don't know. The first impressions is not great. It all looks like it passed its best-before date. One needs to climb a kind of stairs and then ends in a open area in a wood next to a railway. The floor is covered with split stone like used in a cat toilet container. By the way, the cat is there too.The exterior furniture is typical to a biergarten: wooden benches and tables. Not typically clean, but ok.One need to get his drinks at a kind of desk. During the time I was waiting and being served at this desk, the man behind this desk hardly spoke any word. Ones he spoke it was not friendly at all. When I was waiting another waiter almost ran over me without saying anything. I doubt if he saw us at all.The menu is written in a very strange manner. I did not know that one could use so many different fonts and sizes on one A4 piece of paper. Even though we speak very good German we could hardly understand anything from the menu. Also the choices were very limited. The typical German schnitzel was not on the menu.We order 4 non alcoholic drinks. We were observed as if we just landed from an other planet. Ordering something different than beer looks like a Not-done thing here. We got our refreshments in these giant beer glasses (which is not wrong). All 4 were served in different glasses of different sizes. This is no problem but it's just a bit unprofessional to our opinion. After a difficult selection we ordered 2 salads, one child "curryworst" with pommes and a plain pommes. The salads were big and tasteful. The other food was just ok. The price was far above moderate. Overall we paid about 60 euro for 4 drinks and the dishes mentioned. Disappointed we left after just over 40 minutes. Conclusion: go there if you are local and know the person's so they talk to you. Also only order beer. Sit there with your friends and family and write a fabulous review on trip advisor. If you are not a local or don't drink beer or want to eat something too, go somewhere else or go there and write a realistic review on trip advisor and never come back again.

Vielen Dank. Wirklich schön.

Welcome to Restaurant Zambesi and welcome to the original African setting of Hotel Matamba! Restaurant Zambesi offers a journey through traditional African cuisine. Discover new flavours at the buffet and a variety of exotic fish and meat at our live cook
SO we booked for an evening meal. The entertainment was amazing. African dancers/singers coming round and getting you to join in. Food? HUGE selection. the exotic meats is a great addition (crocodile, zebra and barramundi when we stayed)Huge selection for vegetarians, lots of cold selections/salads ( my kids cleared out the pomegranate in zero time)something for everyone. Desserts were fab, lots of little choices (amarula mousse.....)Kids buffet great for the pickier ones. The hot bread oven with toppings was possibly my favourite part. Staff amazing and fab value for money. Breakfast? well, awesome! there was Mett, which means my son was super happy as it's impossible to source at home and one of his favourite dishes. coffee on the table, good tea selections, fresh omelettes. Everything you could want on offer, even vegan food. nothing too much trouble.

We welcome you in our African lodge for a wonderful evening! Our Restaurant Bantu offers South African à -la-carte specialities which are freshly cooked on our lava stone grill. Or try our âAfrican Fire Potâ â a fondue menu for two guests to share! Corresp
My favourite restaurant in the area where I live is Bantu in the Matamba Hotel in Phantasialand near Brühl. It is first class restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere, terrific organization and service and outstanding food. We go there to celebrate special occasions, and we stretch the definition of âspecial occasionsâ to go as often as possible. You donât have to go into Phantasialand to visit the restaurant, as it is situated in one of the two very lovely hotels next to the amusement park. The menu changes regularly, but they always offer a special menu of the week. I think we have always ordered this, as it is good value. The meat is always cooked to perfection, and the ingredients are unusual and perfectly coordinated. They also have a childrenâs menu and take care of the young guests very well, serving them first and also providing colouring books and crayons so that the adults can enjoy their meal. The restaurant has a very romantic flair to it. If you go to Phantasialand or Brühl, eat there at least once. You wonât regret it.
