Barbeque and Vietnamese. Serves lunch and dinner. Walk-Ins Welcome, Take Out, Delivery.
Quirky. And delicious. If you fancy having dinner in a cell phone store, you might not mind the lack of atmosphere (which is quirky atmosphere in itself!) But then you have the food and nothing else matters. May I recommend take-out?The Capital City BBQ offers a wonderful selection of both BBQ and Vietnamese food, available to eat in (there are only four or five tables) or take out (we saw a lot of that during our visit). We both had versions of the pulled pork. Mine was the Awesome Mess, pulled pork topped with cole slaw. It comes with a side -- I didn't realize cole slaw was on the sandwich so I ordered that. A generous (and I mean LARGE) portion, which I took home. My companion ordered the potato salad as his side and gobbled down the whole big thing! We also had the Vietnamese shrimp spring rolls. Outstanding. Notes; Parking is minimal. We parked in the vacant lot of the office building across the street. It maybe be crowded -- be prepared to get takeout. No alcohol served.

After reading few reviews that all mentioned great service, but lack of Brisket. I decided to go & try it out.I was there at 6:30p bar area had only 4 other people seating, restaurant wasn't packed. I sat down and noticed water at Bar, first I thought no big deal it be wiped... Only to find out its condensation coming from ac vents above! So I moved to middle of bar with no vent. My bartender as really on top of things, friendly & attentive. Now when it came time to order. My shipwreck drink was very good and strong lol I had fried pickles which were crispy. My meal I asked for street Tacos (one brisket, one chicken one steak), to my surprise I was told sorry out of Briskets! Wow seriously that's what other reviews said, what are odds it keeps happening? My steak didn't have flavor, chicken had better flavor. The side Mac & Cheese while you can taste the good smoky flavor of it, I don't see why it would cost $4 for it! Would I come back again when in area? It's debatable

The pulled pork was good, but the brisket was fantastic! After reading multiple negative reviews on the sides, we only ordered baked beans, but we actually really liked them! The kids ordered Mac & cheese. It was super bland, but the kids liked it with salt & pepper added. There were no clean tables to sit at, but when we asked if one could be cleaned, they obliged quickly. We would go back again, especially for a take-out order if brisket!

This is the second time coming here. It is located on Turner street in âold townâ Lansing. Parking on the street is free and limited. The menu is for the meat eater and their specialty âcheese and macaroniâ. The food is very good as well as the service. Expect to pay in the ballpark of $20 per person for dinner and a drink,

Visited here for a farewell party for a friend. First visit. Great Impression. The atmosphere was terrific. Service was outstanding. Our server handled multiple people, with separate checks and no problems. A hot hors d'oeuvres table was set up for our group. The selection and quality were very good. The trays never ran empty. Those who ordered from the menu were very satisfied. The beer menu offered something for every taste. Definitely worth a return visit.
