Mapquest gave us confusing directions to get here. It has a Cobden address but is actually only a mile out of Anna,Illinois. It is set out in the country and done in a lodge/cabin decor. Wonderful place for a special occasion, group gathering, or just a couple or family outing. The food was fantastic! There was plenty of it and it was really good. I had the diet steak meal and had a delmonico steak, baked potato, grilled vegetables, & fresh fruit. My husband had ribs, red beans & rice, slaw, and a salad. They also brought a little loaf of bread & butter while we were waiting for our food. The service was great and so was the atmosphere. The prices were very reasonable. They have sandwiches, salads, appetizers, desserts, hearty meals, cajun, and a kids menu. The tvs, music, and decor provide entertainment. They also have a bar. Our first time here and we will definitely be returning customers!

We were traveling along the Shawnee Wine Trail and wanted some ice cream to end the day. An internet search revealed Likkit's as the only locally owned ice cream place around where we were, so we headed on over. The ice cream is absolutely delicious, and the portions are generous, to say the least. And the cost is low. We didn't have any of the food, but the barbecue smelled tremendous. We sat outside and enjoyed some of the locals playing music on the porch. The owner was super friendly. We got there around 8, their closing time, and as the owner left a while later, he said we could sit out there as long as we wanted. He's a super nice guy. We'll definitely meander up there again!

Grew up eating this delicious BBQ. The recipes taste a bit different than I remember, but I still dream about the slaw BBQ sandwich and onion rings. Took 5 of my friends on a drive from Breese just for a BBQ. All left saying they had never experienced the shaved meat nor the addition of the slaw to the sandwich. I ordered an XL slaw just for myself. (I believe the waitress thought I was joking.) If the Dixie would only offer Ski soda, it would be a gourmet restaurant!
