The food here is so good. You should go when they do their $1 sides special. The kimchi fries are to die for and they have an adult beverage that tastes like skittles...so good. I also thoroughly enjoyed the philly cheesesteak egg rolls. YUM!

Ribs. Pork. Chicken. Brisket. Hell, even sausage. All BBQ has the same three basic ingredients: smoke, meat and time. What makes it different is the amount, consideration and attention to each part of that recipe. That, and some really great bbq sauce, to
Jim 'n Nicks was a nice experience. Hostesses were nice, seat was not under fan, temp. was comfortable. 6-7 TVs going with various sports shows going. Server was friendly, brought beverages quickly, took the order, and it wasn't too long before the food arrived. Quantities were plentiful, food was hot. Taste was fine, though the BBQ process is a firm believer in keeping the whole pig in the equation. Unfortunately chucks of fat in the BBQ are a quick turn-off for us and about a third was left on the plate or tossed later. Salad was crisp, potato was HUGE! So, go hungry. It's a nice place...just not a future date for us.

This place is great, rustic decor but nice and clean and it strikes that balance between commercial restaurant and hole in the wall specialty food outlet.Good beer selection to go with the food. The menu has few items but that's ok and it covers the key meats. We has a shared plate of chicken, ribs and brisket with hush puppies, fried green tomatoes and fries, then we ordered another brisket.Totally stuffed ourselves and wow was it good.Prices are not cheap but they are reasonable.

I was out with a few of our sales reps who are local to the area and they insisted that we eat here. I got excited because local restaurants are always the best. This place is no exception! There's outdoor seating and indoor seating. The menu is simple enough but offers enough options for everyone. And the nachos are fantastic. Finally, the wait staff was very friendly and very efficient. Perfect for a business lunch. Yum!

Located in the 7th Street station building and at the 7th street station stop on the Light Rail system. Opened in 2012, Queen City Q offers a melding of BBQ styles serving Pulled Pork and allowing you to sauce it at the table with one of their 6 sauces. B
We went here based on the reviews and it was above average BBQ (really 3 1/2 stars)The deviled eggs, hush puppies, and chicken were all delicious. The rest of the bbq choices(brisket and pulled pork) were overdone. Also the sauces were all light and had no real flavor or kick. The food prices were reasonable but the whiskey prices were on the expensive side, as I was charged $15 for a Woodford bourbon neat. The service was good and they did have outdoor seating.

My son and I came for the soccer game from NYC. We found this well reviewed pit shop for BBQ. First impression is a huge restaurant with a sizable parking lot.Not full house even on a Friday night... but a good crowd. We ordered a whole lot of BBQ platter. Wow! It come in around 2 pounds of meat: ribs, brisket, pull pork and sausage as well as 4 sides! We cannot even finished it!The sausage is A, the brisket is B+ because I want to have some fat on it! The pull pork is out of the world without any sauce!!!!! The ribs is fantastic! If I am in Charlotte again, I will come as I visited many other BBQs already. This one is special.Hi Edward! Thanks for taking the time to leave such a great review. We are glad you enjoyed your experience at Mac's Speed Shop and we hope to see you again soon!

Have gone 2 days in a row and have not been disappointed. They do a great job smoking their meats. The St Louis ribs were tender and delicious. The garlic chicken wings were very good. The sautéed garlic mushrooms were tasty. A must try are the fried squash - excellent.

We used to like Midwood Smokehouse ,but things have changed. We ordered brisket for dinner. I ordered lean and received a portion loaded with fat. The manager was very nice and did replace it with another portion of lean meat, unfortunately it was totally dried out.. My husband also ordered brisket and found his dried out also. We had invited another couple and they had ribs, which they were not crazy about either. Guess we have to find another barbeque place.Hey Judy, thanks for taking the time to leave us feedback. Unfortunately, it seems as if the food was not up to par. Please email me at [email protected] as I would like to get some more info. Talk soon! ~Leslie

I've been here numerous times. The BBQ is consistently wonderful. The sides are too. I would rate it in the top three BBQ joints in Charlotte, if not #1. Great service and atmosphere too. I go to the one in Plaza Midwood. It's always packed
