MINAS Brazilian Steakhouse is named after the southern Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, where executive chef and owner Jose Montes hails from. This state is known all over the country as the heart of the most authentic Brazilian cuisine, such as feijoada,
I don't know if more flavour or texture can be brought up from the meats they prepare and serve. Cooking for decades I still consider Minas Steakhouse the best option if family wants roasted on fire meat. Waitress/Chefs are pro and meat lovers themselves. Every member of staff is calm and happy. True quality experience. Most of the time we have Rodizio menu (bring the meats on, baby) and great hot and cold tables sides (mostly gluten free, but ask). Rodizio at dinner is a little pricey.

We want you to experience the true taste of Calgarian BBQ! Our meats are slow smoked for several hours over Okanagan applewood. Featured on You Gotta Eat Here for our Elvis Platters. Come visit one of our two locations- one across from McMahon Stadium and
Big T's BBQ was recommended by the staff at the Calgary Stampeders Team Shop. He highly recommended the ribs, of which we did not have. We had pulled pork sandwiches and fries. The pulled pork is some of the best I have tasted. The coleslaw is normally served on the sandwich, but I had it on the side and ended up putting it on the sandwich anyway. It was very good. The fries were excellent. Still had the skin on it and were very crisp and a generous portion. There were several options of BBQ sauce. The only thing keeping this from being 5 stars is that the music was very loud in the restaurant. We were there about 11:30 AM, so before a big noon crowd. There were also TV's with sports on.

A nice evening to be out and about. Hayden Block continues the trend of BBQ & Smoke joints in Calgary. Food did disappoint. 1/2 LB Side Ribs, yummy!! Not quite fall off the bone, but very close and lots and lots of meat. Had a side Macaroni Salad.$13.00 for 1/2 LB of ribs, $5.00 for a side. âFor a Sideâ thatâs a bit much. Maybe $2.00 -$3.00, but not $5.00. Drinks were market average price and a huge selection of Whiskyâs and decent selection of beer. Service was excellent, though the waitress was a little Stiff/Kurt at the beginning. She did warm up after awhile. But could have been a little more friendly. A friend had their Pork Sandwich, wow what a feast! All in told food excellent, sides need to be lower $$, come on itâs beans, coleslaw, Mac salad etc..., Not High Ticket Items here.

Everything about our experience at Minas was outstanding: service was excellent, salad bar was fresh and well stocked, and the meat was delicious and timely. There was also exceptional live music that added to the experience (and we could still hear each other!!). Thanks everyone at Minas for helping us celebrate our 25th anniversary. :)
