We mostly stop and grab some BBQ to take home with us. Very good flavor and servings are usually generous. I recommend the sliced brisket.
Locals know this BBQ well (it's an extension of Bryan's BBQ in Clute), and so it doesn't disappoint. My favorite is the chopped beef sandwich and my fiance ordered the full meat platter and says he loves the "burnt ends". Tasty stuff. I'm impressed with the design of the restaurant--it feels cozy and you want to stay and enjoy the outdoor space, too. They have a strong list of bourbon (you can even order flights!), and if you love bourbon, just stick with this menu. Cocktails are not good--I've tried the margarita and the whisky sour, and found both to be rather weak, pale concoctions. If you want a good cocktail, you're better off visiting Wayside Pub nearby. But given that this place is new, I think it has a lot of promise and hope to see it around for many years to come. So glad to have Bryan's BBQ in LJ!

They did not get my order correct, giving me a meal rather than a sandwich, but the meal was delicious. The sandwiches are reasonably priced, the meals, not so much. There is quite a variety of BBQ on the menu and it all appeared to be tasty.
