Unless I was unlucky, this is more a pile it high, sell it cheap approach to eating pork (their specialty) Suckling pig was huge chunks of pork that could have been from any age pig with some good quality meat but a lot of fat, grisle and bone. My wife's vegetarian dish was very poor.Service indifferent. Looks better than it is.

Fantastic Restaurant, we were late having lunch circa 3 o'clock but this wasn't a problem. We had the whole place to ourselves. The food was fantastic, really great, fresh Croatian food at very reasonable pricesThe portions are huge by the way Highly recommended
We stopped on the way looking for a quick lunch and found this place on trip-advisor. Seemed nice and local. We ordered fish and a mixed grill plate. It appeared they were understaffed and the waiting time was a bit longer than expected but that was not a problem since the owner was very nice and welcoming. The food was a different story. The fish was fatty, floating in oil and tasted a bit old. The grill meat didnât improve the experience a lot. Avoid the sausage. The cevapcici were good. Wouldnât stop here for food again. Maybe for some beer and the hosts. Maybe they get better in high season.

We wanted to taste real Istrian cuisine, so we searched agritourism places nearly... MekiÅ¡i village, niceplace por family with kids, beautiful weather, restaurant with terrace with olive trees, seems nice. It was holiday 1. May, so it was full, but nice atmosphere ...Service was terribly . The waiter didnât notice us for a while, when he saw us finally he didnât want to bring menu?! He was hurry and we agreed to his recommendation for some istrian food. Domestic wine malvazija was nice, food was delicious, prices are regularly for that kind of place... paying in kuna -cash only, no card.

We were staying in a villa in this village and this restaurant is totally fabulous.. very friendly family run, with fabulous food and even better desserts. The traditional pasta, with steak & truffles was the best meal Iâve had in years. Steak cooked to perfection!Would recommend it to anyone. Thank you for looking after us for the week, itâs been brilliant.

Gorgeous place, lovely location, friendly staff and fantastic food. A party of 10 aged from 14 to 80 and all really enjoyed their choices. Fish dishes particularly were amazing and great value. My second visit in 2 years and won't be the last. Just lovely.

We sat very close to the grilling place, so there was additional joy, watching the cook at his work. The Fiorentina steak was served on a hot plate, just perfectly done. As the side dish there were some potatoes and grilled vegetable. Our friend had grilled beef steak in truffle sauce, with a bit if pasta in truffle sauce. Mmmmm. The kids also had njoki and fuzi Istrian type of pasta also in a truffle sauce. A teenage daughter used the bread to wipe the place empty - that explaines how good it was.

Konoba "Milena" was opened in 1986 and is managed by the Stefanov family. Here you can taste typical Istrian specialities, locally made wines and brandies, olive oil with gold medal and among other things the hosts also offer homemade cheese, pasta, bread, foi
Great location for visiting the hilltop villages as well as coastal resorts like Porec - all within 30 min drive. It was incredibly peaceful and felt very wholesome to be staying within a real local community. The management/owners were delightful and couldnt be more helpful. Additionally they run a great no-fuss reasonably priced restaurant that is only open in the evening. Everything is slapped on the barbecue - steaks, fish, seafood and served fresh as can be, including products from their gardens. The accommodation was very good value although very dated and we struggled with the tiny bathroom but for the price, everything was fine. I think it was a shame that the exterior areas including the little swimming pool looked derelict - the chairs and loungers were all broken and dirty, old rusty pipes lying around the unkempt grass area which altogether did not look very inviting. We did use the pool on a couple of occasions and it was clean enough. There was no where to really sit outside except in the evening restaurant at the large wooden bench tables. The kitchen corner had a fridge so that was a real bonus as well as kettle and other utensils should you want to knock up a light lunch so anyone on a budget, this would be handy. Its a very good value local venue to rest your head whilst the days are spent out and about.

We stopped by here for lunch. We had a table on the side of the playgarden. Our son had a blast while we enjoyed a nice glass. The food was delicious. We had the fish plate to share for two and it was amazing. Service was good and the price was reasonable. Certainly recommended!
