Walked to this pub from our holiday site - it's tucked away and not on the main road but down on the way to the beach. Time was most of these pubs catered soley for lager swilling holidaymakers and real ale was not on the agenda - I was pleasantly surprised to find a number of real ales on tap here which were very well kept. They were also local brews which are a favourite of mine when travelling. We didn't eat here but just had drinks, however by the number of people eating inside and arriving as we sat outside, this pub seems to have a good following. I would definitely go back to eat and drink next time I was in the area.

Can not say a wrong word about this place. For a first time motorhome stop over this was a brilliant find. Landlord/Landlady/Staff very welcoming, open & honest. Food great but you do need to book.As Arnie says 'we will be back'.

Over frequenting this establishment for 10 years and since the new owners have been in place, this year has surpassed the rest, the quality staff and the commitment to give excellent service is now shining through. Great food and they care about whatâs delivered what more could you ask for?

The Boathouse is Norfolk's most anticipated new venue for 2014. Formerly the Eels Foot pub, the venue has been lovingly restored and extended and now serves traditional pub grub(with the occasional twist) during the day with country and gastro dining in t
Had a lovely Sunday lunch here, the carvery is not the cheapest, but is excellent value for the still reasonable price. Be aware that not all the dining areas have views over the Broad, but if you are lucky enough to get a table where you have a water view that is suberb. On a sunny day (which we did not have!) there is lots of seating outside- all with that lovely view.Thank you so much for taking the time to post this review. It is lovely to hear how that you have enjoyed your visit with us and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future

We saw the chalk board outside saying âSunday roastâ. Spur of the moment, stopped to investigate. Doggy/family friendly which was perfect on a hot day - saved us leaving dog outside. Really excellent value roast pork with crackling, Yorkshires, roast potatoes and loads of veg. Desert was just as good (choc pudding/Mississippi mud pie). Really friendly staff and locals. Dog had lots of pats and met several other doggies. A fab time was had by all Hi there,Thanks for a great response. I can remember your visit and serving your deserts. We have some great reviews and itâs kind of you to think of us. Hope to see you next time.Regards,Mark

We booked a Friday evening here as we were having a short break in Winterton. We arrived to find a table in the window with great views over the sand dunes, so thought how lucky, however this was spoilt by the fact of repeated staff and customers standing at the front step smoking, which is literally by the window we were seated at, so felt like we were in a zoo!I see James, the manager comments on reviews, so perhaps could take action for future customers? We were the only table in, which is always a worry for a Friday night in May.The food was average for the price. I ordered a lamb kofta as a starter, but was informed that they had no lamb, but could do chicken, which I went for, but when it arrived, they were tiny chicken skewers, the kind we have bought before frozen, not worth the money. The rest of the meal was okay, but not as good as I would hope.On a positive note the waiting staff were great. Friendly, helpful and attentive.Hi im sorry you did not enjoy your visit I can reassure you the stuff on the menu is all local produce and cooked to order unfortunately some things were missing off the menu at the time due to the menu being ran down to make way for our brand new summer menu.we do like to keep our standards very high to ensure the products are given to our customers how we would want it ourselves the skewers in question have been removed off the new menu and many new tasty dishes added. As for staff smoking in front off customers management do tell our staff not to do this but cant always be policed im sorry for this and words have been said.hope to have a revisit in the future to give us another go.thanks james

Enjoyed a meal here whilst on holiday in mid Sept, Very impressed with the way the staff corrected a problem - my wife's cottage pie had burnt on to the bottom of the plate making that part of it inedible. The staff gave a complimentary dessert to my wife and we got extra on the cheese board. They do say that it's how you correct a mistake that counts, so full marks to them for this.Lovely pub, lovely village in a lovely part of the word. Well worth a visit !
