The Bull Inn is a traditional English country pub & kitchen nestled in the heart of the picturesque West Malling. We take pride in our carefully selected choice of mainly local real ales and homemade seasonal food. Whether you are sampling our large selec
Staff couldn't do enough for us. The food was lovely. I had a homemade burger which was absolutely gorgeous. My daughter in law had the chicken ham and leak pie which she said was amazing. The children's portions are very generous. Pub doesn't loo much from the outside but don't be put off. I would definitely recommend this pub.

We have just moved to Wateringbury and found this remarkable little gem! They do lots of themed food nights and we tried the Fish night and had the Skate which was the best we have ever had. The chef is remarkable and such great presentation. Cannot wait to go back. Also the staff are truly great here and Harry was so lovely! My husband loves this pub! thank you

Rubbish-awful appallingMeal for 4 .The ales were not well kept, and after trying them we opted for lager. as did other people.I chose the Halibut with crushed new pots and sauces. It came out as a pile of dry new potatoes with a few tiny tasteless slices of fish on top. It was, quite inedible. Chef, are you that poorly trained as to be useless. My son chose the Pork Belly. It arrived looking quite impressive until he tried to cut it. The menu should have read Dunlop belly. I too tried it and it was tough as old boots. I thought pork belly was always melt in the mouth slow cooked. Not so apparently. My wife chose one of the VERY few vegetarian choices which was a cheese (haloumi) burger and salad. Yes a blind monkey could prepare such dreadful bland dish, but it was exactly as planned and aforementioned. Our 4th member ordered a steak, you canât truly get that wrong, and thankfully the cook, managed to do that ok.Puddings - -hmmm 6 quid a pop, and if you want ice cream with your sticky toffee pudding, that will be another £1 a scoop. All 4 of us said we wonât come back, we wondered why we managed to get a table so easily, the reason is, there isnât a decent chef in the house. As Ive written before, we have financial interests in 2 of the best and most highly rated restaurants in the south east. We know food, and Iâll say to the owners of the Angel, spend some money and employ a proper chef.HiThank you for your reviewIt is always a shame to read negative comments and I would be grateful if you could telephone us to discuss the matter in more detail Look forward to hearing from you RegardsLee March

This establishment is wonderfully presented, with comfortable seating and warm and friendly staff. We opted for a G&T and were seated for dinner. The menu all looked so delicious it made choosing difficult! so much so, we opted to order our starters to share. We went for the scotch egg (with a soft yolk!), and mini baked camembert with ciabatta. Both were delicious, the scotch egg in particular tasted like it had been made with love! The mains we went for were the welsh lamb and beef and ale pie. I couldn't help but sample the lamb and dauphinoise potatoes (even though they weren't mind); it was a beautifully cooked dish, had the portions not been so wonderfully generous i'd likely have attempted to sample more! The pie was delicious too, the meat melted in the mouth, and the sauce was rich and perfectly seasoned, all in a delicious shortcrust pastry case. I substituted the mash for champ, which was a great accompaniment. As i mentioned, the portions are generous, however, it was too good to leave any on the plate. When we were asked if we'd like to see the dessert menu, the food had been so good it was a no-brainer. I went with the apple crumble whilst the other half had affogato. As ever, I tried his (but in my defence, I'd not tried affogato before so thought I should!), it was delicious, with lovely intense coffee. I did however, also go to town with the crumble, which had a muesli topping with a generous amount of pistachios in the crumble. The apples were a beautiful texture and just nicely sweet without being too sweet. Again, the portion was generous (I didn't need to eat until late the following day!), the flavours perfect and the service was swift and friendly. After what was a truly delicious meal, we took a seat by the open fire to enjoy the rest of our bottle of wine (a lovely rioja) and enjoy the music and some conversation. It really was a wonderful evening, with beautiful food, friendly staff and great service in a lovely setting. I'm already looking forward to my next trip back!

The Farm House restaurant in West Malling is perfectly balanced rustic and sophisticated, historic and up-to-date, traditional English and suavely continental. See what we mean? Built when QE1 was on the throne, The Farm House has an updated, trendy b
Arrived Saturday 5th October. Restaurant full so given table in bar - this was fine. Staff were great but very busy. Ordered Garlic Bread - big mistake, burnt, dry and thoroughly unpleasant. Beetroot and goats cheese pizza. So dry you could mop up a flood. Beetroot basically obliterated. Haloumi Salad comprised of a packet of pre-prepared salad leaves with unripened tomato slices and some cubes of Haloumi which were dry and overcooked. Utterly dreadful. Bill for this 'fabulous' meal came to £45 plus two pints - need I say more. You will need to up your game to stay alive. Suggest you start with the chef.Thank you for feeding back, could you please email [email protected].

A group of us went for Sunday Lunch, which was our first visit to the restaurant the result of which was not up to standard, Under cooked roast potatoes, stringy beef, over cooked turkey and cremated Yorkshire puddings. However to onion soap and the deserts were OK. The overall service was good considering that the waitress had only started this weekend and was still learning the ropes. We left a tip only because of the service not the quality of the food.Based on our experience this Sunday would not recommend for Sunday Lunch, hope that our experience was a one off.Large car park area and a large play area for the kids.Good afternoon Rod, it would appear we created a problem in our kitchen this weekend with a change around of chefs, a meeting was had this morning with head chef Yannick to amend the situation. I can only apologise for a blip in our normally excellent record, sometimes when training chef's we can get it wrong. Please feel free to contact General Manager Ben at the pub to arrange hopefully another visit on us.My apologies againGraham ( Owner)

I am a bit bemused by all the positive reviews for this place, indeed one look at my bio and you'll see that I more often than not review positively and constructively, not here though. For starters, bland tapas, undercooked potato and calamari with stodgy batter. For mains, a beaten steak at £24 (most cooking programmes tell you not to beat steak) that was overcooked and dire, we sent it back and in fairness they did not charge us for it.My beer battered fish was undercooked and tasteless and the batter was awful. There were little things too, we asked for some water for the table and the owner brought 2 small glasses, yet there were 8 of us. We asked for Ketchup and she brought us a near empty bottle, so we had to ask again. We had to get up and get our own seasoning. The young waitress was lovely, but we were only served by her earlier on.Positives, lovely setting, lovely gardens, the kids liked the desserts and it is very dog friendly. Food clearly needs work.My brothers dog was happy as much of the food ended in a bag to take home.Regrets, my silly dad tipping £20, hopefully the young waitress gets this and not Chef.

Cant rate this place highly enough. Came here with family and we all agreed without exception that the food was excellent. It has no pretensions to being an gastro pub, instead it's just a great village pub serving top quality food. My venison was something else as were the other mains. The staff were great too. Very well done.Dear Guest,Thank you so much for taking the time to write this wonderful review and for giving us 5 stars.I think you have summed up beautifully what we try to achieve here. You have made my day.The Team and Chefs will all be delighted with your lovely comments.Thank you once again, and we hope you and your family join us again soon.Enjoy your day.Kind RegardsMrs K Catchpole
