The Tilted Wig has now reopened after a major refurbishment. We offer an extensive breakfast, lunch and dinner menu, using only fresh produce, cooked and beautifully presented by our team of talented chefs. We also now offer 4 bed and breakfast rooms.
We found ourselves in Warwick for lunch. We entered the centre and saw an interesting range of eateries. After looking at the menues outside, we decided to go to the Tilted Wig. What a good decision! Service was excellent and the light meals were delicious. I told the waitress that I had enjoyed every mouthful - and I meant it!I had the Pan Fried Bacon and Garlic Mushrooms on toasted Bloomer. My companion had Chilli and Garlic Prawns, not on, but with Toasted Brushetta. Apparently delicious. I really wanted to taste them but if I had asked for one of theirs, I would have had to give them some of mine! And I didn't want to!

Got absolutely soaked on a very wet Saturday. Caravanning near by but looked for a good restaurant locally. My daughter had scoured the internet for weeks and decided the globe was worth a visit. Couldnât be further from the truth. A completely short sighted welcome, assuming because we were drenched from the rain we didnât have money to spend. Turned us away when clearly there were copious free tables. We planned on visiting more than once but the dismissive response made 8 of us reluctant to return. Families- donât visit!!! Waitress was less than accommodating and simply told us there would be no table for us today! I will be sharing this on all caravan forums to make sure other visitors do not make the same mistake. We went and spent £300 at âThe Tilted Wigâ instead- the food was amazing and the welcome was inviting.Hi Carly,I am very sorry for the experience you had with us. We would never wish our guests to feel dismissed and I apologise sincerely that you felt like this. I have spoken to our team about this and when you came in we looked at the diary to check our booked reservations to see if we could accommodate yourselves and unfortunately, in this case we were unable to do so.The tables may have looked free but they were reserved for guests who had booked in advance. I would personally recommend always booking in advance. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, I can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of.Thank you taking the time to share your feedback,Kindest Regards,Yvette

The rose & crown is a 17th century inn with rooms tucked into the corner of warwick's market square. We serve the good stuff: fresh seasonal food, a quality pint, great wine, well-made coffee, all with a genuine welcome for old guests and new.
Me and three friends decided to eat here after a lovely day at Warwick Racecourse. we arrived at approx 5.50pm and we were the first one to order our food which we were advised would not been too long. After waiting approx 40 minutes the food arrived pie with mash and veg for me and my husband which we discovered was cold mash. We both ordered extra veg and this was cold too. My friends ordered a curry which again had cold rice and the other dish wad salad with new potatoes but again they were stone cold. We all decided that this was not good enough and left. We feel very disappointed that all four dishes had cold items. Such a shame after a lovely day out

Stopped by for a spot of Sunday lunch after seeing a post on social media about the community owned pub in a local village. Nice interior, great friendly, prompt, warm service and really, really delicious roast beef dinners (2 adults and 2 childrenâs). There is no pretence here of trying to do or be anything fancy, it is just fresh, locally sourced, home cooked food. All delicious and huge portions. Only downside was that we were too stuffed for pudding!!!!! We will definitely be returning!

The Falcon has been on our list of âgo toâ places for Sunday lunch for some years, so we went there today expecting the food to be as good as we have experienced many times before, sadly it was not. I had roast lamb which was chewy, my husband had the belly pork which was fatty and soft, no crackling, the roast potatoes were chewy, not a bit crispy, cooked hours before and kept warm I suspect and the Yorkshire pudding was flat and soggy. The whole meal was just warm. We wonât be going again, shame. The service was fairly good though.Dear SRSLWe were disappointed to have read ypour recent review. Having visited a number of times before, you willl know how much price and effort we put into creating great menus, food and delivering a good level of service.I have spoken to the manager who was on duty who said that you visited between 6:00 and 6:30pm. We know the manager on duty spoke to you on a couple of occasions during the night. Rachel who concluded the service was made aware of your displeasure as you were paying your bill and the manager tried to catch you but you were already in your car.I am sorry that you were not pleased on this occassion, especially after visiting so often. We would have preferred to have dealt with the matter last night but do call us to discuss further should you wish and for us to be given the opportunity to make this right.Kind regardsJason

Warwick's Best Kept Secret. A true canal side real ale pub. The water is a few feet from the front door, adjacent to Cape top lock on the Grand Union Canal. Open & Serving Food All Day Every day from 12. We have 3 permanent real ales & 3 ever changing gue
Having noticed the two consecutive comments with superb in the title, I just had to add to this chorus of approval with my own experience of the Cape. My first impression was one of extraordinary cleanliness and an attention to service that would put many high class establishments to shame. The waiting staff were at the top of their game, with the food being artistically presented and utterly scrumptious. And such a variety of top quality meals that we were literally spoiled for choice! If you want old school charm with the utmost professionalism, a pristine environment, utterly delicious food, and a management team that are second to none, look no further than this pearl among pubs. Well worth a visit!

We had a really nice cajun chicken meal here, staff were lovely and price was reasonably good. So much better than a meal we had in old square the previous night.

A traditional English pub within a stones throw of the Grand Union Canal and a gentle stroll from the Birmingham and Stratford-upon-Avon canal Kingswood Junction. The ancient pub is nestled in the center of the tranquil village of Rowington, in the heart
Really disappointed, my farther booked a table a week prior to our booking, for my birthday meal, he confirmed on the phone the amount of people eating and the member of staff went as far to confirm they had a large booking in the restaurant but would give us a lovely round table in the conservatory, which we agreed to. On arriving at the pub we were told âWEâ had not booked it correctly, on trying to see if they could accommodate us as intended, as the conservatory was empty of diners at this point we were told we could not pull extra chairs to the table, all the manager wanted to say was whilst banging a menu against her hand was that her staff were correct not us. We have been regulars and recommended this pub on numerous occasions, sadly we will not be back, we went off to another very popular place locally who could not be more accommodating. Sad really. Iâm sorry you feel this is what happened, however I would like to clarify that I was in fact there when my supervisor of 2 years took the booking with your dad, she confirmed we had a table of 4 in the conservatory which is a nice round table, in fact the only round table in there which has always been a table of 4. I also prompted her to make sure you were aware of the larger booking around the same time to ensure you were aware of possible delays due to our food being cooked fresh to order. My supervisor as all my team are expected to do so, read the booking details back, confirming time, numbers and date. I personally heard all of this, hence why I confirmed with you on the day the day that I can vouch it was most definitely booked for 4 people. If we could of accommodated you we most certainly would, Iâm sure youâd agree no business owner would willingly turn away potential takings. But those âfree tablesâ you mentioned, were all booked for the guests due to arrive within the next 45 minutes for that sitting as we had just finished our first sitting and were in the process of receiving our next guests. We even had a waiting list of people in the bar in case tables became available, therefore I would not of been able to take chairs from them when they had booked also? Iâm sorry you feel this wasnât handled well, however whoever we first spoke to was quite rude with us, and despite not being the person who had originally made the booking was not prepared to listen to us and expected us to take other guests chairs which I obviously was not prepared to do, I was not even given the chance to suggest our nice outside tables which we would of as a one off, given full table service to, as she stormed out! (We do not usually offer table service to tables outside) I do however hope you enjoyed your meal elsewhere but afraid there wasnât much else we could do due to the popularity of our weekends and we had reserved a table for the numbers originally requested. Kind RegardsCharlie

The fish was super fresh . The home made Ale batter was fine, delicate of tempura consistacy. All I missed was a side of bread and butter lol..Left me wanting more.PerfectThank you so much for your review. We're glad you enjoyed your Fish & Chips, to be honest you're absolutely right about the bread & butter and we'll now look at offering it as part of the dish. The kitchen would have been more than happy to provide one though if you'd have asked, so if you're in again and you're not offered a slice then please do not hesitate in asking.
