Order the âBaliâ steak and receive a steak in an extremely salty sauce nowhere close to any Balinese delight I know!With so many options in town, think twice before you enter this mediocre establishment.Dear RPMol,We are sorry to hear that your experience at Loetje is not the experience you hoped for.It is true that we do not take reservations for groups below six persons. This way we hope the overall waiting time is shorter then when do make reservations as well for smaller groups. Unfortunately especially on the busier days, there can still be a waiting list.We are very sorry to hear about the service you experienced, this is of course not the experience Loetje wants to give their guests. It is correct that our Bali steak can be a little saltier than our regular steak. This is due to the sambal in the sauce.We are afraid that we can not make you a fan anymore. They are not ready for busy service, they claim that they have the best burger in town which can be true for Utrecht Standards but unfortunately they are one of the worst when it comes to timelines of the service.. Go for it if you are willing to waste your night..

The place has a nice location directly on the gracht/canal. Thatâs the positive. The food, we had two different burgers, was ok. Not great, not bad. The service was not good. There were several waiters who we saw during the evening. List of events:- sat outside, didnât see a waiter for the first twenty minutes. When we got the order in, drinks didnât get to us for another 15 minutes. One of the drinks was incorrect, and the correct drink arrived another 10 minutes later without any urgency. No apology, and the question whether the replacement order hadnât been expedited was met with a puzzled look and âno, we are busyâ rather than a smile or apology. - extra condiments were promised but never delivered.- neighboring party ordered drinks, and when they arrived asked whether they could place a food order, which was rejected by âI was told not to take any further food orders as we are busyâ. Question by the guests when they could order was answered âIâll go and askâ for the waiter to then not return at all. The service lacked Charme and any trace of professionalism. Not the quirky student type of a little dis-organized. For the service alone I would not return.

On our first night in Utrecht, we had dinner in this charming restaurant overlooking one of the canals. The staff were welcoming & friendly, and took time to explain the menu to us. It's a busy restaurant, but our food was served promptly and was of a very high standard. In fact, it was so good that we went back two more times during our brief stay in the city.When next in Utrecht, we will certainly return to Graaf Floris.

nice burger place with many different kinda of burgers, including multiple veggie or even vegan options. personally i don't like the veggie patties that you can replace regular burgers with and would recommend sticking to the actual veggie options. a burger is around â¬10 i believe, which is on the high side. the fries here are delicious.

We were recommended this bar by the lady in the tourist information office, it was a wet Monday in Utrecht and most museums etc were closed. She gave excellent advice because we loved it. The cafe is in a converted church, dominated by a central bar, serving an amazing array of beer. The staff were very knowledgable and happy to make suggestions. We also tried the bitterballen to soak up the beer and they were excellent, freshly made and tasty. The chips were good too, the waiter forgot to order the chips for us and when reminded, they arrived promptly and on the house. Excellent service. We didn't have more substantial meals, but looking at the plates being delivered around us, they looked very appetising.I really liked it here and will definitely return. Lovely place.

extensive bottled belgian list and a good tap list of at least 20 beers, many unusual. Great bar tender, who of course spoke immaculate English and was very helpful. Handful of locals outside were initially sort of intimidating but they provided some entertainment. Didn't get any food, but didn't want any. Was there strictly for the beer. Weirdquirky decor - plastic snakes hanging off the lights and a large shark on the wall. But if you like Belgians, this is a good place to visit.

Great food, loved the ribs and the little champ burger. The view and the calmness adds a lot of atmosphere to the terrass. Also a great place for sports lovers, there are a lot of tv's!
