we came there couple of times. both times we only enjoyed view from the roof of Venets Hotel, we did not have chance to enjoy food and drinks in the bar. there were no signs of hosting, briskly saw waiter who came out to clean the table, but basically only empty bottles were picked up and pool of beer on table was left behind. on open terrace there is never ever enough seats and tables, although area of open terrace would allow to place couple more tables and chairs. we came to eat out couple of time and have couple of cocktails. although menu was not ever offered so we had to self pick it up from the bar and both times we were told cooking and serving time would be around 1.5 hours for simple foods and drinks. so we had to enjoy a little with the view over the city and went off. it seems that the bar is quite popular place and meets reasonable numbers of visitors daily. but for some strange reasons these guys let the money and business to go away - seems that they prefer to serve selected regular customers ignoring additional profits from tourists and visitors. strange way of business.

On second try we managed to get into this bar. It's more of an drinker's place than eater's. The salads were served way after the teas. Mine was even not the one I ordered, so relaxed were the folks there :) But it was worth it, warm veal with corn salad, cheese, sauce and pepper. The walls are full of paintings, posters and other artifacts, flags.

Small, cozy and friendly local's pub. This is the place where local rock-heads go to spent evening. If you want to socialize with locals, this is the place for that. Place is allways crowded and you can find it by finding large group of people outside, no marking on door. Owner speaks good English too.

Before raises the standard in Ulyanovsk. That goes for both the interior and the menu. Let's be honest, prices are high for Russian standards. But drinks are nicely mixed and dinner is excellent for Russian standards, but average for European standards imo. Place looks cool and is visited by the 'bourgeoise' and rich kids. Making it the hot spot for people with cash.On the downside: the Moscow Mule tasted nothing like the original. On the upside: there is shisha/hookah availableThanks for the tip, waiting for you again)

Spices in greek salad were coarsely ground ("sticks between teeth"), but we were told it's the recipe. Sausages with stewed sauerkraut is a must-try. Interiors on the No. 1 restaurant in the city are clean and neat, but anything but luxurious. Also, it's a pity, they openly raise funds as charity for territories presently under occupation.

we visited this restaurants with my colleagues.we were 7 and some of us did not know what to order but the waitress was helpful and supported my colleagues with the best decision. orders arrived on time, and local ribeye, burger and filet mignon together with the french fries were delicious. quality and price balance is on the positive side.Thanks you!
