My husband and I have been to Ryanâs Wake three times with our son, who has been there a gazillion times. Our most recent excursion there was last night--Friday during Lent (for what thatâs worth)âfor fried haddock. The place was HEAVING. Conversation was close to impossible but we finally secured a four-top and we all ordered fish, fries and onion rings. The dinners came with a red cabbage salad that blew ordinary coleslaw out of the water. Previous meals have included burgers and Reubens and the food is consistently delicious. Probably my favorite thing about this establishment, though, is the speedy, courteous, friendly service. Nothing is too much trouble for the fine folks who work here. Great food, interesting beer choices, fun atmosphere and an excellent value. This place is a winner.

We prefer the bar area as itâs cozier than the dining room. This is the first time we had their wings and it was agreed they are the best weâve had in a very long time.We appreciate you coming in to dine with us and love to hear you enjoyed the wings. We'll keep them hot and fresh for your next visit.

Casual gourmet slider concept with locally sourced ingredients, unique pubfare, craft beer and spirits and a relaxed, industrial décor.
We went on the eve of snowstorm Harper, so there wasn't a wait. My friend says there is usually a wait.We ordered the "Fravos", which are avocado fries, as a starter. They were good and not so good. If you got a "crispy" one, it was good. If you got a "non crispy" one, it was mushy. We didn't care for the mushy ones.I ordered "The Dirty South" slider. It was really good. The chicken was not pre-battered frozen chicken. It was fresh and cooked to order. I also order the special slider of the day "Swedish Meatball", to take home. I asked them to keep the bun separate. I reheated it the next day. It was AMAZING!!!Service is slow, but you are getting fresh, made from scratch food. It's worth the wait!!!

I love that Troy has this place. I loved it even when I just walked past it. I do not eat seafood and I really should not share with strangers what I think about eating oysters...however! 3 non-seafood eaters had an excellent dining experience here. Love the ambience. The food was excellent. The brussel sprout starter was huge and even the non-sprout lover ate it: crispy, crunchy and savory. The blackened swordfish was delicious - probably the best sword fish I have ever eaten and the other person getting this dish - a pescatarian - said the same. The steak-frites guy was very happy with his choice. Good coffee, really good coffee, and a nice choice of adult beverages. Good service. We will be back!

Came with friends for dinner - it's a very lively sports bar. We had great service. Taco Tuesday is an awesome deal with three tacos and chips for just $7. You can also order a pitcher of margaritas. The only downside is there aren't really any entrees for a vegetarian except pizza and a salad. If you eat fish you can order a piece of salmon (it's on the menu to go on a salad) with french fries or a salad. Didn't see any other fish entrees on the menu.Thank you for the review Vicki! We are happy to hear you and your friends had a good visit at Junior's! It sounds like you would be interested in some of our vegetarian/pescatarian menu items. We offer vegan seitan wings and a beyond burger. We also recently started offering fish & chips. We hope to see you again soon, please let us know how you enjoy these new offerings!

A Birthday lunch for my Sister. She has been going to the Ale House for 30 years and chose it for her celebration. When we pulled up out front I was not sure but once inside we found very friendly folks and great food. Hard cider, margarita straight up with salt, homemade pea soup, hand prepared hamburgers (not frozen), fries and the carrot cake! My Sister must use a walker and there is a steep step, however, a patron jumped up from his seat and helped her in. On leaving the bartender helped her out. She left her fries to go on the table and another diner came out with them. Very friendly folks. Do yourself a favor and go. Wednesday night is Mexican night and you will find me there.

The Capital Regionâs choice for the best domestic and international craft beer offerings. Open seven days a week, 365 a year, until 4am. Our kitchen offers fresh, prepared-to-order food until 1am.
Besides the wide variety of great beer, their food is outstanding too and fairly reasonably priced. The wings are easily in my top three for troy and their blue cheese wins hands down.

We always enjoy a stop at Brown's as we remember it from a long time ago as Brown and Moran's and then it was Uncle Sam's, but now its back to just Brown's. Good friendly bar tenders, great drinks and dinner. Sausages are excellent and so is their steak but there is a full burger and sandwich menu with appetizers too.

This Dinosaur Bar-B-Que location is part of a chain serving Southern-style smoked meats and draft brews (~25 options) in a dark wood, inviting, relaxing retro setting. They are located right along the Hudson River in the historic area of Troy and have seating (inside and outside) that overlooks the river. Otherwise, their interior is quiet huge, with seating on the bar side (at the bar, hightops, tables) or in the family area (tables, booths). They are appropriate for singles, couples, families or groups (two private rooms). If you cannot stay to eat, they also provide carryout options. They have their own lot, with plenty of off street parking. Inside they have TVs spread around for viewing current sporting events. Further, they have live music (Friday & Saturday evenings). Of course, they feature smoked meats which include wings, shrimp, pulled pork, brisket, sausage, salmon, chicken, and ribs. And of the latter are available meal options. For those that cannot choose just one - have a platter or two or three. They too offer burgers or their smoked meats in various sandwich options. Sides include BBQ beans, fries, BBQ fried rice, Mac & cheese, chili, greens, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, coleslaw or potato salad. We tried their Vegetarian Smoked Portobello sandwich, BBQ Ribs, smoked sausage, smoked chicken, pulled pork and brisket. We loved all of their smoked options. The sides too were excellent. Added to the nice food, the service was too superior. We look forward to our next visit.
