Things to do in Taree
We went here for a Christmas breakup Dinner, the meals were cooked very well. My partner and I had the Surf & Turf. The scotch fillet was done to my liking and very tender, the calamari was nicely done as well. Only thing is that the Prawns still had the tails shell on them, messy to eat when covered with sauce. The accompany vegies were done well also. They had a few hiccups with the electronic meal ordering system, could be due to the large crowd. On this night we also had a live band which entertained us really well. I will return here another time.

Went to the Leagues club Friday night to see the band, unaware new bistro had gone in. Thought I would try it for dinner. What an awesome meal one of the best Parmigianas I've ever had! Worth trying it out, delicious.

We are located in Club West, Taree ,on the mid north coast of NSW . We have something for everyones tastes and Budget from the Traditional Roast Dinner and Fish and Chips to the more exotic Asian Dishes like our Famous BBQ Duck Noodles or The Combination
They have a pretty reasonable selection of Asian meals that are well prepared and very tasty. I felt like a steak and salad which was OK. I was annoyed a couldn't get a vinaigrette dressing for the salad. The only dressing was a horrible looking herded mayonnaise. Service was quick and price was low. Thanks for your review Foodie2430 . We do offer a choice of Salad dressings but sometimes people take them back to their table and forget to bring them back . We do get many good comments about our Mustard Seed Dressing so I suggest you try it on your next visit . Thanks for your custom .

Rio's Bar & Grill is located in Taree Motor Inn. Open Monday to Thursday from 6pm until 8pm. We try to support Local Produce, Local Craft Beer and Wine. Look out on Facebook for daily Specials. Reservations recommended. Group Bookings are Welcome. Private
After reading the reviews on this sight and looking at the menu on the website, my husband and I decided to go to Rio's for 25th Wedding Anniversary dinner. The waitress was wonderful, beer ice cold, mock tail yummy and entree of mixed breads was delicious. But that is where it stopped, I had the salmon and vegetables; the fish was so over cooked it was hard and fibrous whilst drowning in sauce, the vegetables where not fresh and offensive to eat so I left them. However the mashed potato was nice and helped to swallow the over cooked fish. My husband had the barramundi which had a funky frozen taste and was not enjoyable to the palate. We did not complain as you take the good with the bad however 3 hours later we both have diarrhea and feel a little sick. Will not be going back or recommending to anyone.

Had been advised that there was a new chef on board. Was well worth the trip. Plates dining room inside the Exchange Hotel definitely the place to go when in Taree. Daily specials and a standard menu offering enough choices to suit the fussiest of diners! My offside had the T-bone steak which was served with bear battered chips and a large salad. A excellent meal for the grand price of $15.00. Will return - this new chef is a keeper!

My family and I have been here several times and while the food is only average tasting, the prices are reasonable and the portion side are generous. The beer is cold and the staff friendly and efficient. There is one "Special" each night at under $10 that represents exceptionally good value. Depending on what night it is you, have a choice of a chicken schnitzel, steak, fish and a couple of other dishes. The Royal Hotel Taree is a typical country pub and caters for everyday, working class people. In short this is its target market.

Went to this Club after seeing it advertised and decided on the lunch $10 special ($11 for non members). We saw some lovely meals coming from the kitchen and my husband chose roast lamb and I chose Mediterranean Pasta. Imagine our disappointment when my husband's roast turned up and it looked like the last bits of the roast were just "hurled" on his plate. One small pumpkin, one small potato and that's about all. When he commented to the waitress, he was told, that all the meals were like that! He asked for at least another couple of decent slices, which he was duly given, then he received a replacement meal, which was so much better. My pasta meal, lacked taste and visual appeal, it tasted as though the pasta had been overcooked and was falling apart and the sauce was like a watered down tomato sauce. Not happy at all! When we left the roasts that were leaving the kitchen were so much better, so the kitchen must have lifted its game after our complaint. Lunch specials should not be lower quality, for a lower price!
