Named after Freddy Mercury, one does expect a bit more Mercury-memorabilia in this pub/restaurant close to the Stone Town harbour than the few random pictures against the wall.The main attraction, however, is its seafront view and close proximity to all the beach activities by the locals.We visited for a beer - or two - around sunset and found it a pleasant experience.The staff was accommodating, helping us to move from the sun to shade and back again to get the best sunset shots.

The place is not fancy nor new. Very traditional. It's got Wi-Fi and a small bar. You can sit on the deck and have a great view. Staff are super friendly but most of all the best meal I had in Zanzibar in my one week here. Beef a la Romano. Absolutely homey and hearty. Really great meal.

Stopped by every time we passed by, excellent and fresh local juices, great combinations and lovely atmosphere. Owner is super nice and helpful and there will be jam sessions every Tuesday. Expected more considering the other reviews. Service was slow.Starter didn't turn up. Main courses had an oddly gluey texture and both tasted pretty similar as if the same sauce had been used with just some veg added to one. Quite pricey for what it was. Lots of other places do veg curry probably better.

I passed there twice for cold drinks during happy hour. Besides proper service, one can enjoy a nice view over Stonetown and enjoy the architecture of an old swahili palace.

Definitely one of best restaurants in Stone town. Food was very delicious and tasty, they offer all kind of cheeses, ham, prosciutto which is very hard to find on Zanzibar. Wine was very good with fair prices. Staff friendly and professional.In total we enjoyed it a lot.If you are staying in Stone town, this is definitely place you must visit.
