This has to be the worst place. Brought salad but forgot the dressing. Took 30 minutes to bring small burger. Crying kids and drunks populate the place. Manager walks around clueless. They spent 20 minutes consoling some nar-do-well while everyone else waited for service. Never again. Bad place.

Expensive poor experience. Wait staff was at best unconcerned about our dinner. 5 of us and we had to request what is usually obvious and normal. Chicken avocado sandwich -terrible. 'Fake ' chicken. ...spongy and perfectly white. When will we learn that it doesn't matter where we are all Chili's are the same-bad.

Over the past few years I've seen the service and value decline dramatically in this chain. I've visited the Stafford location at least 15 times and generally impressed with their level of service, they usually open the door for you and greet guests with a smile.

I ordered the Fred'burger med. well which according to their menu means light pink. It was well done and very dry and the bun was not fresh. I was here 2 years ago and ordered a burger and the same thing happened. I said back then that I wouldn't go back but did, thinking everyone needs a second chance. BUT I definitely will not go back again.

Totally surprised by the quality of service and food. We were staying the night at a nearby hotel and wanted some place to eat within walking distance. The exterior doesnât make it look good, but looks can deceive! The waitress was friendly and the food was outstanding!!! We will go back to The Tavern on our next trip to Fredericksburg.

We love the food from New Orleans and this restaurant brings that flavor and fare close to home.We had the alligator bites appetizer, fried oyster appetizer, and shrimp & grits with alligator sausage.Everything was steaming hot when it arrived. That is perfect, because hot food is best eaten when hot, rather than warm. The appearance was excellent, and the flavors bold and robust as if we were in a cafe in New Orleans.The grits were so amazing with tons of tasty cheese, and perfectly cooked shrimp.The decor was nice and the seating comfortable.Highly recommended!!! Thank you so much for your review. We can't wait to dine with you again soon.

My family and I had dinner here during our road trip. The restaurant was recommended or advertised on Waze. We weren't disappointed. It's a local restaurant, not a national chain. The restaurant has a sports atmosphere with lots of TVs. They also have video games. We had burgers, crab sliders and pasta. Everything was good, including the service. I would definitely visit again if we are in town.

The tavern has a great atmosphere and an extensive list of beer. They serve American comfort food as, well as, traditional European dishes. My husband had the Jagerschnitzel and I ordered the Quattro Formaggio pizza. Both entrees were large portions and very good. Good service and reasonable prices.
