Visited on a Tuesday afternoon with friends. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table whilst Turkish music was played softly through the sound system. There is a large choice of foods and everything that we had was delicious. Food and drinks were reasonably priced, a very enjoyable visit. We shall visit again.

The Doctor's Orders is a traditional family owned pub in the heart of Sheffield's Medical and Student district. We pride ourselves on providing great value home cooked produce, with an emphasis on fast lunches and quality evening meals, all in the comfort
We tried eating here after seeing good reviews. The menu was very limited, but we all found something we liked. The adults ordered the millenial burger and the kids chicken nuggets. Nuggets were great but the purple carrots didn't go down well! The burgers were also delicious, but the bacon on it left a lot to be desired. Strange coloured and barely cooked. More fat than bacon. No medallions either, just fat. The pub also felt grubby, the tables were sticky and the carpets unhoovered. Covered in bits. Such a Shane.

An independent bar based in West One, Sheffield
Hired a private room which looked impressive on the website but wasn't. Beer was questionable.. And the staff weren't surprised. Food was sub optimal. Won't be bothering again

Hello Sheffield...we're on our way! Opening October 2018 serving up fresh food, great cocktails and good times since 1986!
This was our first experience at P&P, I booked an early table (5pm) as we were attending an event at City Hall. It was probably after 5:30 when we finally ordered food but at 6:20 we were still waiting for it to arrive! We were told there had been a mix up with the orders, that made sense as everyone around us had arrived after us and were already tucking in to their meals. The rest of the table enjoyed their food, I ordered the Salmon, served with a new potato and tomato salad! The salmon was delicious but it was served with potatoes that had likely been sat, reheated, sat, reheated and reheated again. They were almost black in colour on the outside and inside, visibly not even resembling a new potato. I had three small slices of tomato which looked more like they were sun dried. It was inedible to say the least, how anyone could possibly allow it to have left the kitchen looking like that and think for one minute I would accept it is quite another thing.I think Pitcher and Piano is ultimately a bar which serves food and not a restaurant that has a licence......there is a big difference. I certainly wonât entertain it again, I made the mistake of choosing somewhere close by to the venue but next time Iâll avoid the chains and stick to the independent restaurants that have always served us well.It was disappointing and although a discount was applied to the bill it had already taken the edge off the evening.Pitcher & Piano is ideal for a pre-dinner drink/meeting place but you need to up your game in the food department.Hi bev2richie,I am deeply saddened to read about your experience with us.I have responded to your initial comments left through our FeedItBack system, however if this response meets you first, please don't hesitate to get back in touch with us via phone or email so we can discuss this further.Kindest regards,Tom CannerDeputy Manager

Open for brunch, lunch and dinner. Angel and Harlequin Bistro offers brunch, coffee and cakes followed by a full menu for lunch and dinner. We are able to cater for large parties and have areas that welcome dogs
Five of us booked for Sunday lunch. The staff were very understanding when I phoned to say that we'd had a hold up and would be 20 minutes late. Our food was nicely cooked apart from my daughter's creme brulee which tasted fine but the texture was rather grainy. 2 other desserts were shown on the menu with accompanying ice creams which turned out to be unavailable, so we had to have them with less interesting ice cream. My daughter regularly eats at this restaurant and assured us that this is a one off.Hi thank you for your review. We had a issue with one of the freezers so lost a lot of ice cream. Hense why we were short ice creamHopefully see you again

The Treehouse is Sheffield's first board game cafe. Board game cafes have been springing up around the UK over the last few years. What sets them apart from a normal bar or cafe is that their main focus is board games (although they do serve food and drin
I LOVE THIS PLACE regular visits with my two teenage boys and phenomenal wife, each time we have great fun in a relaxed atmosphere (with no idiots ruining it) We enjoy the family time together and choose games that make us laugh. The selection of games is incredible and the staff know how to play them all, so advice is not far away. The bar is good, the food is ok... but the snacks hit the spot. Very clean, very relaxing and good fun! For me, I like the fact that you can be sat playing a daft funny game with a beer, whilst the table near you are playing a hugely complicated board game drinking tea. Perfect harmony !

After reading all the excellent reviews, we decided to visit The Devonshire Arms for breakfast. We liked the lovely decor, nice ambience and the coffee was good. We decided on the offer they had for 2 breakfasts for £10, so bearing that in mind, it was good value. However, our bacon was hard and overcooked and the egg was solid and if we had been paying the full price of £8 each, it was not good value! Perhaps we were expecting too much after all the good reviews. I think we should probably return for dinner to give it another try!Good evening Pip Thank you for taking time to leave us a review I am so disappointed you didn't enjoy your breakfast Our kitchen never intend to send food out that is not up to our high standards I can only apologise I just wish you would have mentioned at the time it would have been replaced immediatelyIf you wouldn't mind contacting me on our various contact details and let me know when you visited ect I can ensure it doesn't happen again I promise you, you were not expecting too much What you received was not acceptable

A sporting haven, we show all the live sport you could possibly imagine! Along with great drinks, fantastic coffee and wonderfully fresh food produced from locally sourced produce. Give us a try, and look out for our offers!
Plus points:+good burgers (chicken and beef)+good portion sizes +good value Downsides:-bad service, bar staff were impolite and merely pointed when I asked about our table booking-slow service -no table service, wouldnât normally mind but we had to queue in a queue of people 4 deep all the way across the bar-had to ask for menus-broken glass all over the place May be with mentioning that the place was packed but they should have had more staff work- not the customers fault Tip: book a table Tip: this is not a laid back evening meal type of place, this is a sports barApologies for your experience. Not an excuse however Saturday night for the #UCL final was the busiest night we have had, with hour food service of our full menu. It is still no excuse for rude behaviour or a lack of attention. We have a team meeting on Tuesday and I will print your review and use this to address the issues you have highlighted. These types of things are extremely frustrating, as I feel with a minimum of effort and politeness, we could have given you a great evening with us.Regards,Adrian.

Trippets Lounge Bar is the establishment for fizz, gin, dining and jazz in Sheffield. We are an award-winning independent bar in the heart of âThe Steel Cityâ on the renowned Trippet Lane; a short walk from the Cathedral, the City Hall and the Peace Garde
Trippets has restored some faith in having an evening out in Sheffield. Couldn't have asked for a better night out. I was out with my daughter and we both thoroughly enjoyed the night. We booked a week beforehand and our table was ready on arrival, it was ours for the evening. A table for two right by the window. We were as faraway from where the band were playing as you could get but it made for great background music as we dined. The menu was mouthwatering and lived up to expectations. We shared three nibbles, four plates and had a different dessert each. Although the dessert defeated the daughter! What incredible flavours we experienced, all well presented and just the right portion sizes. The cheddar & leek bites with Cumberland sauce was particularly outstanding. I myself drank the bottled bitter, my daughter had a couple of gins from "the gin bible". Again faultless. The great thing about it all was that you could order your plates as and when you were ready to eat. There was no rush what so ever, no one coming over "are you ready to order, are you ready to order?" It took us almost three hours to complete our meal.Afterwards we popped into the bar for a drink and listened to the swing band. A group of students from the Uni swing society were there dancing their socks off. It was great to watch. Even better was the bill when it arrived. Take off the £20 deposit and we were left with a meagre £53 to pay between us. Fantastic value I thought for a fantastic experience. The only down side to visiting Trippets was that I'll now have to take the wife next time.
