Reviews on Bar food in Seaham, England, United Kingdom. Seaham, formerly Seaham Harbour, is a small town in County Durham, situated 6 miles (9.7 km) south of Sunderland and 13 miles (21 km) east of Durham. It has a small parish church, St Mary the Virgin, with a late 7th century Anglo Saxon nave resembling the church at Escomb in many respects. St Mary the Virgin is one of the 20 oldest surviving churches in the UK. Seaham is currently twinned with the German town of Gerlingen.

This visit was with a group of lady friends, some hadn't been to the Half Moon for years other not visited at all.All enjoyed choices of dishes, and servings still generous, my only criticism is the steam ginger pud was not of the same quality as previously experienced ( no pieces of stem ginger in it this time- this what makes this pud extra special)

At the Ivy House we do things a little differently. For us its all about choice. Yes, we sell Fosters, John Smiths and Smirnoff but we also sell Brooklyn, an eclectic range of cask and craft beers and a diverse choice of spirits. We want you to enjoy a co
Was a regular visitor to The Ivy House in the late 70's and early 80's, so was keen to visit again, for the first time in 36 years. Still a great pub, with a great selection of cask ales and craft beers. Friendly welcome and offered the chance to push an electric button to see if I would get my drink free, half price or full price ! It was the latter, but hey it was a decent pint in a true pub.Happy memoriesGood morning Thank you for your review, we are pleased you enjoyed your trip down memory lane.We hope to welcome you back again soon .....not in another 36 years :-)Kind regards Kelly

Having passed it nearly every day since it opened, my wife and I have been meaning to try the Ranch and decided to finally give it a go. Having read mixed reviews we went with an open mind and were certainly not disappointed. We had different burgers and chunky chips and found them to be delicious. It is not a cheap place to eat but it is a lovely treat that is worth the little bit extra. Looking forward to our next visit and it will definitely not take so long this time.

Visited on Tuesday 4th June. Two couples who all chose the steak special for £13.95. Three starters brushetta and one soup which were lovely. The steak fillets were tender and cooked to perfection. The sweet tapas were lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful. The meals were lovely and the price was really reasonable. The other couple we had with have been many times but this our first visit and it definitely won't be the last. Really good food well priced and excellent service

Village Pub and Restaurant. Now under new local ownership with significant refurbishment. Now open selling food and drinks including cask ale
Visited here for Sunday lunch. Have been here before and had been disappointed (left a review) but as its close to home we thought weâd give it another try. Our order was taken quickly and we didnât wait long for the food. So far so good. I was nearly finished my meal, when I moved a large carrot and found a long black hair underneath. Me and my partner have fair hair. As you would expect I couldnât eat anymore. When the waitress collected our plates I showed her the hair and she said sheâd mention it to the chef. We sat for a few minutes expecting someone to come over and apologise. After a few minutes we got up and my partner went to the bar to pay the bill. The waitress never mentioned anything so he asked her what the chef had said. She replied that the chef had said they would try hard for it not to happen again! No apology, nothing. Needless to say we definitely wonât be back.Apologies for this late response, but I needed to speak to all those involved.Clearly we have failed (again) and for that I can only apologise. This was a fault on our behalf and we should have offered you a full refund, as well as an apology. I'm disappointed that neither of those things happened. All our kitchen staff wear hear nets and we do ask that our Front Of House staff tie their hair back to prevent this from happening.Once again, please accept my apologies.

Seaton Lane Inn is open all day, every day offering laid back dining with delicious, homemade fare, a welcoming bar and comfortable boutique-style en suite accommodation.
I'd driven past this place a few times. We decided to drop by before heading to the cinema. The staff are very attentive, polite and friendly. This place is order at the bar service so do not expect someone to take your order (this isn't a problem for us but I know some people prefer table service) . I had the risotto. It wasn't the most flavourful risotto I've had but it was nice. I did decide on a dessert, the Eton mess was lovely!I'd eat here again. The atmosphere was lovely!

We visited Clean Bean for breakfast as a family on an impromptu trip to Seaham. We parked outside, sat in the window and enjoyed a splendid breakfast. I didnât realise the sausages were gluten free until I asked where they came from. It was that good. Wonderful. Go there. Great breakfast.
