This old dame never disappoints. There is certainly a reason they have been around for so long. Maintaining the charm of a 60s/70s steakhouse. The waiting staff to management radiate old school warm, family hospitality. The food is certainly better than most fancy, trendy steakhouses in JHB. Their ribs are the star of the show. Ribs you will be craving soon after your 1st visit. Even their side dishes are pure comfort. If you feel like a starter before the gigantic rib portion, the prawn cocktail took me on a stroll down memory lane. Simple but delicious. The desserts will ring a few bells too! Will be back again and again. Saul, our waiter, was a gem. Donât know why all restaurants cannot maintain this kind of service and passion amongst staff. Winning formula.

Start off the evening with a gin cocktail in the comfy lounge immediately next door (though they are rather too keen to explain every aspect of every cocktail in some detail) and then head through for a relaxed, friendly dining experience. Staff were knowledgeable,efficient and friendly. The deal is you pay a minimum cover charge per head, which gives each of you three tapas dishes and then if you need more you pay for each additional plate. Food was generally excellent - the ostrich and lamb were highlights - though the fish dishes weren't quite as good as the others. Some innovative combinations of flavours and textures and a nice twist of South African ingredients with Spanish style. Good wine selection and a really nice atmosphere.

We wanted to treat ourself to a bit of a night out, and Craft didnât disappoint, we had 1 starter, 2 mains, 1 dessert and 2 double G&Tâs and the bill was over R1000. So it is a bit pricey, dessert was great! Mains was good, but by far the best was out waitress. Sadly I canât remember her name, but she was excellent!

My family of 4 had dinner at this restaurant and we had a fantastic experience. The restaurant has a unique ambiance. We were offered some food items off the menu, which we did order. All of the food items that we ordered were more than sufficient in quantity and delicious. Pricing was reasonable and overall value for money was fantastic. The best part of the whole dining experience was the customer service and we were made to feel very special. I would certainly very highly recommend dining at this restaurant, to anyone. The nice outdoor area welcomed us with some late afternoon sun - as tourists we like this as many places value shade. Staff were helpful with the wine choice and later we had a pizza which was fine but not special.

I used to go to Foundry but they changed the food menu.Itâs still a nice pub with great atmosphere, good choice of beers and drinks but unfortunately they changed the food menu. While before was a great place for a dinner (I still remember the lamb shank + ostrich fillet), it now serves more tapas e finger food dishes with a relatively small option of main courses.
