Reviews on Bar food in Salvador, State of Bahia, Brazil. Brazil's former capital is renowned for its African-influenced cuisine, music and architecture. Known as "the Capital of Joy," because of its exuberant week-long Carnaval celebrations, Salvador brims with contemporary music and art amid architecture that has gone untouched since the 17th century.

...the menu is somewhat differentiated, the preparation is lacking. Noisy!!!!!! The roasted palmito that I ate in Curitiba 4 years was much better than the mass produced plate of today. The schnitzel was dry and almost inedible. I wanted a plain hamburger: i had to order a cheeseburger, hold the cheese. the hamburger on the menu comes without a bun!
After trying 2 different craft beer bars in Salvador that were a total waste of time I decided to come to this joint. The beer selection is simply amazing. Add that to great service with people who really know what they are talking about (and suggesting) and you get one of the best places to enjoy craft beers. My interest was local craft and I was given a couple of great suggestions. As I had been drinking for a few hours I thought it was best to get some food into me. That presented me with WOW factor2.I had the crispy pernil and the crispy bacon as appetizers. Both were simply amazing. I then divided Iâd go for a Burguer. The meat was cooked to perfection, the bacon was crunchy, and the bread tasted fresh and warm (something I hardly ever get in Brazil - not even in Rio and SaÌo Paulo). So, if you want a good selection of beers, good service and amazing food this is the place to go in Salvador. I know Iâll be back next time Iâm in town!

A restaurant and bar with live samba. Food was correct but not particularly remarkable. Good caipirinhas. I heard two bands playing, the first was so-so, but the second was really good. It took everybody to the dance floor to strut our stuff. So go there for the music, and you can also have some dinner, but don't expect too much on that side. Somehow expensive for Salvador standards.

We were a large group and had a great evening and dinner here! The service was just excellent! Everyone was friendly and accommodating! We love the restaurant itself, and we loved the huge wine selection and the atmosphere of the place! And the food was delicious! We had great pizza, and great meats, and the appetizers we shared were great as well!It was a wonderful night and a great dinner, and I would most definitely go back!!!

We went there with some friends on a late night party-extension not expecting much. When someone ordered the calamari risotto, things changed completely. It was amazing and the server offered the Shrimp-Calamari Risotto which was even better. I'll definitely comeback to try other options. Don't get discouraged by the unassumed atmosphere. The food is amazing.
What to do and see in Salvador, Brazil: The Best Places and Tips

The view is majestic, the whole bay is there for full enjoyment, which makes any meal way more pleasant! The restaurant is specialised on seafood but meat-eaters do find good options as well; portions could perhaps be more generous, especially due to the high price charged! The place is often full with snobbish "soteropolitanos" (locals), not that pleasant. Other than that, a very good choice!

Saw good reviews and gave this place a tumble. It is small and authentic. Literally every table I could see got the pulpo a la gallega, perfectly boiled chunks of tender octopus over sliced boiled potatoes with olive oil and paprika. Totally perfect. Got some sliced meats and cheeses to go with Tempranillo wine and the first decent beer I have had in Brazil, a Colorado Indica from Riberão Preto. Reminds me of the artisanal stuff I get at home in Tennessee. Worth a look if you take your tapas seriously.
