Enveloped by expansive beaches, moss-draped oaks, and salt marshes, Saint Simons Island, part of the Golden Isles chain near Brunswick, is a nearly 18 square mile island, once dominated by rice and cotton plantations. Today, it’s a recreation wonderland with superb championship golf courses, miles of bicycle paths, great fishing, historic sites, and excellent restaurants. If you love golf, you’ll love Saint Simons Island, which is home to the 18-hole King and Prince Golf Course and 27-hole Sea Palms Golf & Tennis Resort. Anglers have lots of opportunities to fish in the rivers, tidal creeks, sounds and the Atlantic Ocean. You’ll find charters and guides at the Golden Isles Marina, and you can also fish off the St. Simons Island Pier and surf cast on stretches of beach on the island’s north end. For such a compact island, Saint Simons is brimming with historic sites. Don’t miss the Saint Simons Lighthouse, where you can climb the 129 steps for a magnificent view of the island; the Fort Frederica National Monument, which has remnants of the British fort built in the 1700s; and the Bloody Marsh Battle Site, where the Spanish defeated the British in 1742.

This place is always reliable for good, consistent food. The burgers are great and the grouper fingers they make are very delicious. Bartenders (Bill, Jeff) are top notch. Great service.

We come here often and drive an hour and 20 minutes to get to it. It was July 3rd around 11:45 we got there. We had an older lady as our waitress. She seemed very unorganized and flaky. Our food was delicious. After eating we gave her a gift card we had received. She comes back and tells us she applied it and we needed to pay the balance and told us the balance but didnât give us our bill. We asked for our actual ticket to show how much we owed instead of taking her word. Finally after 15 minutes she comes with it. We noticed we were charged for two cheese dips. We had ordered two orders of the pretzel bites that come with cheese dip. We asked her if the cheese dip came with the pretzel bites and she said yes. Even though we already knew this because we get these every time we go. She said sheâd have it taken off. So me and my husband are just waiting there with 4 kids and she finally returns in another 15 minutes or so and throws the ticket by the kids and leaves. We thought this was rude as we were already getting annoyed at this point for having to wait for a bill so we could pay and leave. Well she only took off one cheese dip. So I had to walk up to where she was and show her she didnât take them both off. Another 5 minutes later she returns with it and the ticket is finally correct. Check your ticket very good before you pay. She just wanted us to pay her without even seeing our ticket. If we hadnât we would of ended up paying a lot more money for our pretzel bites. We will not be back for a little while. Maybe she wonât be there next visit.

The coleslaw here is realy unique - we ordered lunch from here just to eat the coleslaw. The mayo-less coleslaw with the tangy dressing is absolutely lovely. both my wife and me had it. my son had the grilled cheese and loved it. The fries with it were great. The best part was the vidalia onion pie. It's a cheese onion dip which is very tasty. Will definitely add it to our future visits here :)

Sunday afternoon and need to have something to eat. Open seating at 3:45 so sat outside on porch but under the roof line as misting. Drink order taken and delivered immediately. My wife ordered the Greek salad with chicken and her salad dressing on the side. I had the clam strip dinner and had slaw and Mac and cheese as sides. Plate also had one very good hush puppy. The salad was served cold as should be with grilled chicken breast. Lots of peppers, sliced olives, feta cheese. My wife said it was pretty good. The clam strips were excellent as breading was not overpowering. Plus was a huge serving. Took some home. Slaw was ok but the Mac and cheese was excellent Would recommend trying!

Great place to spend a late afternoon with a cocktail and some time on your hands, for you will not want to rush your time here. Stephen will take good care of you while you sip and enjoy this extraordinary view of Saint Simons and it's beach. Make sure to order a couple of rounds of portabella fries for the group....kick back, relax and enjoy the location and the moment.

Last time we ate at Brogenâs, they were experimenting with these awful food service coated fries, but you could still ask for the awesome steak fries theyâve had for years. Alas, the gross county fair/Arbyâs fries are now your only option. Burger and wings were good, and onion rings are still made on-site...for now. Waitress said everyone was complaining about the fries. Hopefully they will listen and think about what the customers like versus what cooks quicker. Thanks, Brogenâs!

There were 10 in our party and we stopped in for lunch. Our table faced the patio and beach. Vanessa was our server and stay on top of everything from the time we arrived until completing lunch. The restaurant had modern decor and very comfortable feel. Everything we had from crab & corn crowder, Super green & lobster salad, mussels, blue crab & avocado salad, and sampler platter was delicious. I would hesitate to return to the restaurant and St. Simons Island.

We made a reservation and dined here on the evening of October 11, 2019. The restaurant is located in a large marina complex located on the western side of the last bridge connecting St. Simons Island with the causeway that runs westward to the town of Brunswick, GA and I-95. The restaurant is clean and very modern, but the ambience is pretty noisy, and the prices were a bit higher than what we felt were fair and reasonable for the service and food quality we received. I don't think we would choose to dine here again on a future trip to St. Simons, particularly given the many other dining venues available on St. Simons that would appear to offer better ambience and service. If you are really looking for a romantic place with great food, then make a reservation at Delaney's in the central part of St. Simons. We dined there on our second night, and it was superb.

The food was amazing and the staff was very friendly and accommodating! We had traveled to St. Simon's Island with one of our small dogs, so it was a challenge to find a resturant that was pet-friendly. There was about a 30-45 minute wait, but well worth it. They were able to get us a seat in the outside seating area so our pup can join us without disturbing the other guests. The thoughtful waiter even brought out a water bowl with our drinks. The bacon-wrapped green beans were a hit! We're so glad you and your fur baby made it out to see us and enjoyed your experience. Please come again soon!! Thank you for your kind review!
