My first night in this town of Schaumburg and after a long day of traveling - I really wanted a place to have some good food and beer. This was it.I chose this place because of its great reviews here & Iâm happy I listened to the words of others. The charm of the interior gave me the feeling like I walked into a Tudor style home and I was all of a sudden in another world or place. Warm lighting gave it that extra There are great drink specials for happy hour and the menu is pretty diverse. From Steak, bar bites, soups, flatbreads etc, there something here for everyone. The wait staff are super friendly. Whether youâre flying solo or if your with an ensemble of friends, this place is accommodating.:)

We were here last year and it was much better. The waitresses seemed frazzled and one did nothing but complain the entire time we were there. The lasagna was cold in the center and while we would have sent it back we saw our waitress to order and then by the time we saw her again we were done. The clam chowder was good.

We needed to use our gift card from over a year ago. We did not have high expectations from previous visits. We were suprised everything was served hot and we enjoyed our meal. Margarita was average. The wings were served crispy, hot and tender. Bahamian seafood chowder had vegetables and seafood in every bite. Side salad crisp with nice house dressing. Lobster Mac & Cheese was very good. Never had deep fried lobster before. The Taste of Jamaica was very good as well. Beef empanada- good amount of filling inside flakey crust. Jerk chicken and pork delicious. Plantains tasty. Rice and beans nice flavor. Did not like the Collard greens.

Place was not clean. Specials were poor to say the least. Service was poor. Why is it hard to produce excellent food with reasonable beer prices? We simply did not eat there because the bar itself was not clean. Have to wonder what the kitchen looked like? Service was poor for overpriced beers.
I have visited this location 3 times in the last month. Food is amazing. They have a giant pretzel, buffalo cheese curds, brisket nachos (awesome), great burgers and shrimp tacos. Husband enjoys the beer which says a lot since he is very particular with his beer. They have a nice variety. Service each time was great, very attentive. They even have games for all ages. Great addition to the area.

We were surprised at entering a bar but were quickly directed upstairs to the restaurant. Evidently we didn't look like the drinking kind, and they were correct. Our waitress was very helpful. My wife got Fish Tacos (she chose grilled tilapia). I ordered a Cajun Chicken sandwich, which I was told was a little spicy. We both skipped fried potatoes for Black Beans & Rice Topped with Pico De Gallo. The wait seemed to be a bit long-ish even though there weren't many patrons. In fact, it was slow enough that staff were eating on their meal breaks. The black beans and rice were amazing. My wife really enjoyed her fish tacos. I enjoyed the combination of avocado (mashed, not sliced) mixed with the spicy chicken in every bite. I needed my Diet Coke to wash away the growing heat, from the cajun spices as well as the pico de gallo. Not "horrible" hot, but enough to retain for an hour after we departed. A second Diet Coke arrived without even a hint from me, so the waitress did her job well. And, she accepted feedback about her "little spicy" comment. Only then did she tell me they could have kicked it down a notch if I'd asked. Too late. I'd be happy to return, and since they're just down the block from my daughter's house, I'm sure we will.

My wife dislikes the pubs I usually pick, but Anyway's menu is much broader than just burgers and finger food. They sat us near a gas-fueled fireplace which made our visit more cozy. She ordered Pesto Salmon with veggies. Predictable me, I got the Owners Burger with Onion Rings instead of French fries and a Diet Coke. She liked her meal. I was floored by my burger, which had melty cheese, mushrooms and greens on it. Really juicy, which is why I ate it upside down. No really, that's a thing. Check YouTube for the British video. The rings were golden brown and delicious. Real onion inside and not greasy. Quite a lovely and filling meal. We'll be back, to try something different off their menu. And please join their eClub thing. I showed the waitress the welcoming email and she deducted $10 from our bill. Great eats and a discount? A winner.

My wife wanted to try this place. We tried it and wonât be back. We were there for close to 2 hours because the service is quite slow. That is how I would describe the intelligence of the staff as well. Given it is March and basketball is in full swing I asked for that to be on the TV. That couldnât happen because the TVs are linked and it would change the TV in the bar where someone had to watch the Hawks game.... itâs March. Basketball! We had fried pickles. They were awful. I had some wings and those were pretty good. Burger was average. Beer selection was solid. In short this is a place to grab a beer and move to the TV with your game on. They are too incompetent to figure out how to get your game on. Service is slow. They are nice just not bright. Clyde, Iâm sorry your visit was not five star status. I will definitely be sharing this with the staff and improve on your next visit. We hope to see you back again soon.

Village Tavern & Grill, established in 1993 is a Schaumburg local favorite and home of the "World Famous" Chicken Fingers and Nachorama. Featured on WGN's "Chicago's Best TV" as viewers choice.
The wife and I have been here many, many times and the food here has always been excellent. The problem with this location is the noise level. Being sensitive to noise, it is not a good fit for this location. This has caused us to slow down on our visits here. The food is great as well and the service. Just the noise is hard to sit through. We have found that going here off peak times of the day is certainly a help.

Visiting long term from STL, and we wanted a place that was good, popular, moderately priced and accepted reservations for 12. Very popular place in Schaumburg. Cool vibe and surroundings; kids enjoyed the atmosphere. That's where the positives stop for us. Waited 25 minutes past the time our reservation was made for (they why make a reservation you ask!); service was very poor and very slow; of the 8 adult meals, 4 of them were incorrect; one they simply completely forgot about (a salmon dish) and it came a whopping 25 minutes after all other food arrived (and they didn't even offer to take it off the bill or discount it); my daughter's chicken wrap was the incorrect wrap. It wasn't what she ordered at all, but we had already waited so long, no one wanted to send anything back. But they still billed us extra for avocado that was supposed to be in the wrap that my daughter ordered, which we never even received because they gave her the wrong sandwich. And when I asked the waitress about it, she said "well, I already put it through to the credit card". I said that was unacceptable as I shouldn't pay for something that wasn't received. She was miffed but another 10 minutes later, her manager got it handled. My sister's salad was incorrect. The "Fire Shrimp" appetizer was bland. My Mac and Cheese was very bland. My niece waited 15 minutes for a side of mayo. Bottom line ... from our one time experience, this place is WAY OVER RATED on TA. We would not return.
