At the recommendation of a friend my wife and I stopped here for lunch. Our intention was for a burger but the fish and shrimp were on special. I had baked cod and my wife had the fried cod. They were both very good as were the shrimp. The fries were hot and fresh. The coleslaw was good. The service was friendly and fast. At lunch the diners were a mix of couples and business men. The bar / restaurant was bright and clean. The menu has a mixture of typical bar and grill favorites. We'll be back to try more.

We eat here regularly for lunch. Service in the area is slow everywhere when compared to other cities you visit. No exception here. However, the staff is friendly and efficient and they don't ignore you when they walk by to service another table. They are trying local talent during the nighttime hours and recently tried country. Usually it is a jazz or rock bar. Typical pub food, but they do a nice job with stuffed burgers and salads. Try the sweet potato fries to save some calories.

The last time I was here, probably a good 6 years, the food was really good. Today a totally different experience. I ordered a Ruben, there was mostly sauerkraut and 1000 island, and very little corned beef. On top of that the corned beef was tasteless but probably because there was next to nothing on it. My boyfriend ordered the salmon wrap which for the price he said was tasteless as well. The cheese curds were almost rock hard to stick a fork into just to grab them. Very disappointed.I'm so sorry to hear about the bad experience you had with our food on your last visit. We take great pride on providing not only great food, but even better service. I will take this up with the kitchen manager and please don't hesitate to talk to a manager on your next visit if there is something wrong. We are more than happy to fix any issues before you leave. I was out walking and hadnât been here for a while. I was feeling kind of sad today. The pizza was okay but the service fabulous and in honor of Motherâs Day they gave me a gift bag. What a sweet gesture and want them to know they absolutely made my day!

Yes it is true you may have to wait for a table but it will be worth the wait.. slow down enjoy the place and grab a drink at the bar...As the food is made to order, fresh and of high quality it takes time to prepare. My wife and I went Friday night and my only complaint was that I ordered the home made chilly, cheese curds and a main dish. Had to take most of my main dish home due to my over ordering but it made a great Saturday lunch.Yes it is a little early in the season for chilly but again they make everything from scratch and it is so great I couldn't resist. When you find something that is worth the wait you need to slow down and enjoy it.Great staff of people working hard to make sure you enjoy your food along with you visit..Give it a try and I am sure you will love it

We have lived in Roscoe for almost 30 years and this is our ... go to ... for a burger fix !! Change has brought a few slots but that also means more entertaining people to watch. Best cheese curds ever and RUTHIE is the best ever ... love her bunches !!

Traveling from MN to GA and read the review so decided to find it. Love the downtown of Beloit. Buildings all well kept. This restaurant was hopping. We were able to sit outside and enjoy a beautiful summer evening. Food and service were great.

Had a very good lunch here and our waitress Erin was great! She brought our food promptly and frequently came back to be sure we had all we needed. The servings are generous and the Friday fish fry is a real deal. Check this place out!
