Iâm a brunch lover who goes weekly and so was interested to try Sechelt while there for a weekend away. Shiftâs pulled pork benny was the worst Iâve had. Ever.Firstly they updated their recipe but not their menus, so the crispy onions advertised in the description was replaced with a large onion ring. The hollandaise sauce was mustard-tasting, the pulled pork was smokey and the eggs were vinegary. These flavours did not work well together and the onion ring was out of place. This is the failed experiment of a line cook trying fusion cooking. In stark contrast we tried the pulled pork eggs benny from the Basted Baker. Shift should walk the 3 blocks over and study them... thatâs how they should taste.

A Gibson's harbour favourite for over 30 years! Gramma's Marine Pub is the Lower Sunshine Coast's only waterfront pub. Located on Gibson's Harbour right next to Molly's Reach, we offer a friendly and comfortable atmosphere true to our name. A spacious mai
Great view, nice old style pub. Our food was well prepared. Oysters not perfect, but fine. Grilled cheese sandwich included huge chunks(slabs?) of ham. Curry chicken soup was perfectly wonderful. Prices ok. Service, very fast and professional. View is wonderful, not too noisy. Some bigger groups seemed to be treated well too.

This place is ideal if you're staying in the Davis Bay area. We were able to walk from our accommodation, enjoy the beach, then grab a bite in the outdoorsy casual ambience. We had the roasted cauliflower, which we both really enjoyed, followed by a Mediterranean bowl for me and a seafood bowl for my companion. All good. Beer and wine were good also. No room for dessert.

Modern, friendly, unique, and intimate. Upscale, casual dining room and patio focused on share plates with a Middle Eastern flavour profile. Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten-free, and Keto-friendly menu options. Full bar with wine, crafted cocktails and local be
Friends from Bowen and us (Keats) wanted to get off our respective rocks and try The Pink House we had heard so much about.....my partner is not known for his healthy, ethnic eating choices so at first glance was hesitant....well he gobbled every bite and so did we all, the tomato mozzarella beet salad was fantastic, Brussels sprouts never tasted this good, the meatballs were a hit as was the yogurt dish but the dish that won him and us over was the lemon dessert. I hear they change their menu often which will give us lots of chances to make return visits......welcome to Gibsons Pink House Thanks for taking a chance on us - so glad you enjoyed your experience! Appreciate you taking the time to write a review!!

I realize Persephone is a business, after all, but it's almost a community centre. A community hub, that's for sure. We have a better than 50% chance of running into friends or acquaintances there. Great folksy/homey room, games to play, often live music. My only carp: I wish there was a bit of food on offer - simple bistro fare, for example. The food truck (on the premises) and pizza oven are not always open (typically work on weekends) so a bit of pasta or snacks would be a great addition.

Cool Oyster Bar overlooking harbor. Outdoor seating, good service nice people. Had a dozen oysters and a IPA for lunch. My wife had their specialty German bear.Oysters from New Zealand were wonderful, those from Prince Edward Island were lacking in taste. Expensive lunch as Oysters were $3.50 and $3.75 each

We did not have reservations so were put up stairs on a picnic table. Was very noisy. Food was ok, drinks were good. Menu is limited.

There are many times that I skip out on writing low star reviews, mainly because we are all human and sometimes can be having a bad day...Unfortunately, I have been to Back many times so far in Summer 2019 and each time is very much the same...When you walk in (as another review has also stated) it is as if you are inconveniencing the serving staff. A simple smile would mask the fact they definitely do not want to be there. If you are lucky enough to get menus within a reasonable time frame, you are doing good! Ideally you should look at the menu prior to arrival and order EVERYTHING you would like as soon as you walk in. Sometimes you can order drinks and they will come on time, but then you have to wait another 30mins to order food...which then takes another 30mins to get to your table. If you are actually hungry, do not go here...if you are looking to chill out at a table for a bit and have a drink once in a while, this place is for you. But do not expect to be told what beers are on tap, what wine they have or any information that would help in the process of you placing your order. There have been several occasions where I have asked for condiments that never came and have even overheard tables in close proximity have to ask for salt several times.Having a background in the service industry, I understand that when you are busy, things can be slow for guests, but when there are literally 6 tables and it takes an hour from arrival for food to get on you table, there is no excuse.Luckily I am a local and am not paying thousands of dollars to stay in the area, although I do feel for the travellers who come. It is debatable whether you could order a pizza from Powell River to be delivered before your Back food arrives. The only reason this review is even getting two stars is because the food (chefs/kitchen staff) are great, haven't had a meal here I didn't enjoy....but it could also be that you are so darn hungry by the time it gets there that you would eat anything! This may sound like a preachy review, but travellers should know what they are getting in to before coming to Back. Plain and simple you are getting terrible service, long wait time and great food It would be nice to see Back take a turn for the better since there are minimal choices in Lund. Only time will tell I guess!
