It was fairly quiet when we were there, table of four. Our server, Heather, was not very attentive though. We were overcharged for our adult beverages, even though it was happy hour. Also charged extra for my baked potato which was supposed to come with the meal. The meal in itself, was good. Chili is excellent.Even though it was my husbands birthday, no acknowledgement at all.We probably won't be back.

America-German cuisine done right, with a complement of Norway. Locals love this place, and personally like the cosy little bar-room off the main restaurant. Emanates the feeling of UpNorth sports bar, and accented throughout with pine panels. The kind of place to watch a ballgame or play pool with grandma. The food is superb -- recommend the battered fish, with a baked potato or the Rueben (the latter is more than ample for a couple of lighter diners. Expect unexpected bursts of laughter, from any corner. The Biertube attracts jolly customers, without any downside.Final note: Would urge any gourmet to order a side of horseradish...Enhances every dish, and instantly clears the head.

Stopped for a appetizer while strolling the downtown area of Ted Wing. Hidden Brewery in lower level of remodeled older building. Smelled a bit musty but otherwise nice atmosphere. Bartender, waitress very pleasant & accomodating despite lack of staff.Ordered buffalo wings which were delicious along with craft beer. Would definitely stop in again when in the area.

Full service restaurant and bar, featuring hand cut steaks, chops, seafood, salads, burgers and more. Beautiful view of the river, outside seating available. Great food, excellent service, good craft beer and wine selection check out our large martini men
First timers at Bayside and enjoyed this restaurant for lunch. The menu we were given had sandwiches, salads, soups, burgers & steak dinner entrees. They also offer some fish & seafood options. Prices are on the higher side for salads & steaks, but average for burgers & sandwiches. For an additional $3.00 you can add cole slaw & french fries to your meal and make it a basket. I enjoyed the steak sandwich, and my partner enjoyed the avocado queso burger. It was a good meal, served quickly and hot. Atmosphere was casually friendly. Would return again to enjoy outdoor rooftop bar.

Finding the perfect restaurant for a family dinner or romantic date can be a challenge, especially if you're a picky eater. That's why visitors and locals in the greater Red Wing, MN, area, love dining at Liberty's Restaurant & Lounge. Known for their com
Stopped here for a Bloody Mary before shopping in downtown Red Wing. Didn't try breakfast but other peoples food looked pretty good, standard diner type fare. The bartender was nice and she made a good Bloody Mary. The place could use some updating and elbow grease.

Stopped here for lunch upon the recommendation of a local and I'm glad we did. It's located downtown and has a small, but excellent lunch menu. I started my weekday day drinking with a Zombi Cider, upon the recommendation of our server. The $10 drink was excellent and was large. They have a huge selection of beers.I ordered the pesto burger that was done perfectly and it came with a side of rosemary potatoes. My companion had a turkey ovocado sandwich, which she enjoyed. The place is later dark for daytime dining, but if you up front by the window you can solve that problem. My only beef was a credit card surcharge of 3 1/2%. I think it's silly and out of date. It's not a huge deal, but it annoyed me.I would definitely eat here again.

At a relaxed pace.Experience an authentic British lounge with a night at Jimmyâs Pub. Sip handcrafted ale at the mahogany bar or enjoy a light dinner beside the cracklinâ fire. Jimmyâs is an Old World getaway from lifeâs hectic pace.
We are very familiar with the St. James Hotel and have eaten at The Veranda numerous times, but had not been to Jimmy's Pub in many years, and then..not for food. Our friends suggested it and we were quick to agree. The ambiance is hard to beat, unless you are going to go to Europe to see this type of woodworking craftsmanship, along with stained glass window insets. The food menu is limited but very good. My hamburger (w/fries) was one of the best I have have ever had..and must have been an 8 oz. patty, (with lettuce, tomato, onions, bacon and a great bun). My wife enjoyed her fish plate (broiled) but felt the portion of fish was a small,...even though she is a light eater. We shared a salad which was excellent. Shelby, our server..was an absolute delight..and is a great ambassador for the Pub and St. James. She is friendly, fun..and efficient...and I should add patient with seniors like us. I rarely consume alcohol while dining out... but did have a great vodka martini (served in a large birdbath style martini glass. My only comment is that this is the first time I have ever had a $1.50 up charge for blue cheese olives, which I feel is inconsistent with a first-class operation. Having said this..$8.50 (total charge) for a non-call brand martini is very reasonable. It was a delightful evening, and we can't wait to return...especially if Shelby is our server.Hi traveler - thank you so much for the review! We appreciate the feedback and compliments. We are very lucky to have wonderful staff. Come again soon! Best, Celina

We stopped here on our way to the Twin Cities, as my husband had been here before and really liked the sandwich he had previously. We stopped in on a busy night - lots of families with kids. My husband was satisfied with his food, I had the salmon (I know, why did I order salmon at a smoked meat place?) and it was just average. The waitress was cordial and the prices were okay.

We had been there years before they remodeled and enjoyed the staff but not necessarily the atmosphere. Old and dark. Love the remodel and the food, drink, and service was excellent . The windows looking out to the river and outside patio made it a great destination for a future visit.

The current Red Wing Brewing Company (or âRed Wing Breweryâ) was founded in 2011 in Red Wing, Minnesota. We make about 6-7 barrels (bbls) of beer per week, and our beer is produced and sold exclusively at the brewery. Two of our beers are historic brands
This has been on my list for a while. It has always looked busy when we drove by (usually on our way to Kelly's where we've had very good pizza in the past and a huge beer selection that my husband enjoys, and almost a good river view - oddly hard to find in this river town). The pictures I've seen of the pizza here looked fabulous and the reviews are glowing. Anyway, went for lunch and it wasn't too busy. It's very nice to go to a brewery that has a little more than just beer. Some wine selections. Also, a few "mixed" beer drinks such as shandys and "visiting" beers, too, aside from their own. All that is good. We ordered a pizza. Took a while which surprised me considering how unbusy it was. When the pizza came it looked tantalizing - no skimping on the toppings! It was loaded. Unfortunately it was loaded with FROZEN blue cheese. In an odd moment we had to justify that we did not want frozen blue cheese and were not going to wait for it to melt or warm up on our pizza (which I don't think would have happened). It was brought back to us with the cheese nicely melted and we were ready to dig in. I tried, I really did, but I finally had to admit that the crust is doughy. Not thin crust, not thick crust. Maybe just under baked or not made thin enough to begin with. I peeled off the topping to see mushy, raw-appearing, white dough. I understand some don't mind this; may even like this, but to me it's gross and completely unappetizing. I had to peel off my toppings and put the crust upside down to not see the gloppy mess. My husband thought it was, "ok" but not great and called this a one-time place to try. To me, it became a one-time miss. I left hungry. I usually like to gnaw on the chewy, kind of tough crust but it was just past doughy as well. Overall, not a well done crust in the least. Staff was pleasant aside from having to justify that serving frozen blue cheese was not acceptable and the drinks were good enough. The inside is nice but small. The location isn't great. They have nice big windows but they look out on a street with some boring businesses - no great views of this river town. I wouldn't bother trying to sit by the window. There aren't even people to watch. I'd return to Kelly's first or even Savoy pizza for much better pizza in RW.I (the owner) was one of your servers, so Iâm going to respond by sharing a little secret about the customer service industry. Almost all of the customers that you meet are wonderful, which lends to an enjoyable experience for them, the customers, and for you, the server. On rare occasions, though, you encounter customers where - after interacting with them for a bit - you really wish they had chosen somewhere else to patronize. But there they are, and there you are, and so you make the best of it by acting professionally, treating them courteously, making yourself a strong cup of coffee, and rolling with it. Then, once they finally leave, you clean up their mess, you take a long sip of your strong coffee, you breathe a sigh of relief that theyâre gone, and you move on with your day - which tends to be so much better afterwards. Again, there are not many of them, but those kinds of customers do exist. Have you made the connection as to why this is my response to you?
