Reviews on Bar food in Ravello, Province of Salerno, Italy. Three miles of twisty mountain roads up from Amalfi, the gorgeous resort of Ravello has been attracting celebrities for centuries, including Richard Wagner, Greta Garbo, Gore Vidal and D.H. Lawrence, who wrote Lady Chatterley’s Lover here. Ravello’s Duomo (Cathedral) and Villa Cimbrone (both 11th century) and Villa Rufolo (13th century) are all magnificent sights. The annual summer Ravello Festival began as a salute to Wagner’s music, but now showcases a wide range of music and arts.

After reading a lot of reviews on here we were excited to try Tonyâs. However we were very underwhelmed by the food and service. All the Italian speaking tables were greeted warmly and served drinks and bread. We were served drinks but given oil...We ordered 4 starters, Two turned up on one dish and were very small for the price, the rest ample size. However until the last starter (at least 5 minutes after the others) arrived no plates were given so we were juggling the food to eat whilst hot. If the place had been busy I could almost understand but the waiting staff were standing next to our table! The fried mozzarella was so burnt it was inedible. We left it but no one asked if ok. The starters were cleared before my youngest had had chance to eat his. I had to take the plate back! The mains were nice. The drinks good. The service ok but totally missing anything which would make it special. Such a shame.

As we were on a trip and already eaten lunch in Amalfi ........we only had an hour in Ravello.......so we decided to call for a coffee and a sit down in the square ...in the glorious sunshine.....and just watch the world go by! Excellent coffee in beautiful cups .....served by a lovely waiter! Would love to visit again!

We first visited Eugenio's bar and café four years ago - not that long after it opened I think. He's still there and just as welcoming.Excellent food and drinks at very reasonable prices. Spotlessly clean as well.Worth every penny and the short walk from the Piazza Duomo.

We asked what would be their best recommendation. We're eating fish. This was a disappointment. We are very disappointed. The staff didn't even ask us if you were satisfied. Not interested. Even salt and pepper were not brought to our table. The coffee is bad.

The Gerry's pub is an ideal place for a quick snack or a for a full lunch or diner amdmiring the stunning view from our terrace! The home made pasta and the homegrown vegetables are the clear signs of a real local italian cuisine! In summer time (april/oct)
Myself and my husband have just returned from spending a week in Amalfi. We stayed in the Excelsior Grand Hotel and the Village of Pogerola is just a 5 min walk up the hill from the hotel. We decided to take a walk on our 1st night and went in to Gerry's pub for a drink and something to eat. Gerry was so welcoming and we had a magnificent meal, sitting on the veranda overlooking the valley, we went up to Gerry's nearly every night of our holiday as he also had entertainment and a wonderful musician and singer himself. I must also compliment his chef - gorgeous food.hello Louisescolethanks very much and we are so happy to ready such nice review like this one!!!i hope that lots of people will read this one and iust walk only 500 meters from the Excelsior hotel to the main square of the village!!gerry

Enjoyed our meal/evening. Great friendly service. The anchovies appetizer was the best we have had on our holiday. Also had the prosciutto melon appetizer which was very fresh. We had the lemon linguine that came with an outstanding creamy sauce. We had the house red wine which was good. Priced favourably for quality and quantity.

We serve snacks and drinks all night long on The wonderful waterfront of Maiori in Amalfi Coast. We are close during the autumn and winter. We hope to meet all of you in spring!
We visited this restaurant 3 years ago when visiting Maiori and just felt we had to come back. Franco is such a personable, attentive host and treats all customers like family. The food is always delicious and Francoâs homemade beer, wine & limoncello are just another reason to keep coming back. This is a family owned restaurant and it is obvious that they take great pride in serving the finest home style cooking available in Maiori.
