Find out what Bar restaurants to try in Quebec City. Quebec City may be the only fortified city north of Mexico, but it welcomes visitors with open arms. Explore the Citadel, where you might catch Canadian troops staging a military ceremony. As for food, you could splurge on afternoon tea at the Chateau Frontenac, or do as the locals do and snack on poutine—french fries with gravy and cheese curds.

Lively, bright and well-decorated bistro-pub offering barrel microbrewery beers, ciders and fine pub food.
Salmon tartar, Nachos with all the fixings and the best $3 salad ever. All the different food items had distinct flavors and ingredients that you wouldnât expect and it worked. The staff were very helpful.

L'Atelier Tartares & Cocktails, with its amazing industrial décor, offers a wide selection of cocktails skilfully assembled by our mixologists and a comfort food ranging from tartare to burgers.
Make no mistakes, I really like this place and didn't foe a while but decided to invite my friend recently for a famous salmon tartare. The plates arrived before we had time to open the wine bottle. Service was so fast and kind but the tartare was horrible. I was very hungry and decided to eat it even if it was rolling on my tongue. I made tartare myself, it's my favorite meal and this one was like prepared hours ago, without the love and legendary attentions of L'atelier. The fries were smooth and barely warm. L'Atelier maybe upgrade the interior and the hype with cocktail and fancy menus but the original spirit seems to be lost or maybe I was just unlucky. I won't visit again. Service was A1.Hi.we are very sorry that you did not like your tartare. This is quite unusual for us. If you visited us during the Festival d'été de Québec, it might explain, but not excuse that your tartare seemed prepared with less care than usual. We do our best to satisfy our customers. Have you told you waiter that your tartare wasn't as good as expected? We do hope you change your mind and visit us again!Sincerly,l'Atelier.

We stopped by here for a quick drink. We sat outdoors again to enjoy the evening and the people watching. The service was great and the drinks also. We did not sample anything from the menu because we had seen the exact same menu at a different pub and were a little put off by that. Overall a nice experience. Under 18 are not allowed inside the pub even with adult supervision. Was not an issue for us.

Hello, please note that we will be closed from October 29, 2019 to November 5, 2019 for holidays. Our team from Putinville St-Roch will leave for well-deserved rest in the Dominican Republic after having worked very hard during the summer season. Please n
This is for those who intend to go to Poutineville on 735 Rue Saint-Joseph Est, Québec, QC G1K 3C6. We got there at 8:15 pm and the restaurant was suposed to close at 9:00 pm according to the Google, tripadvisor and sign by the front door. The waiter (short and black hair man with glasses) came very quickly to us, donât even let us to sit, pratically yelling: âyou can not stay, cause we are closing, and you Will not have time to order, eat and pay before 9:00 pm.â I tried to argue that was not even close to 9pm, but he never let me even talk, complainning if i was not understand what he was saying. I am not from a english speaking country, but i was able to understand pretty much how rude a employee/manager/owner (who ever he is) can mess um with a restaurant reputation. We are in our honeymoon, and my wife really want to eat a Poutineville, a authentic âquebecoisâ food in our very last night!Very sorry for this unacceptable response from our waiter. It certainly wasnât our manager or owner. We are low in personnel and sometimes modify our hours if the St-Joseph street is quiet, this gives our kitchen personnel a little more time to rest. The type of response from our waiter was unacceptable, we will have a discussion with him on this so that he can correct his way of communication with our patrons.Once again, we are very sorry for your bad experience, this does not reflect who we are.

Inspired by the year of Quebec City's founding on the very exact site of this Bar, the 1608 Wine & Cheese Bar is a place to savor and taste, where the passion for Quebec local cheeses is combined with great wines from around the world. Discover a great va
Popped in for a quick cocktail and snack while touring Old Town. The bar looks both majestic and rustic and has great view over the St Lawrence. There were plenty of seats overlooking the river but the waiter rudely told us they were reserved for parties of four even though similar tables only had parties of two. When we told him we would like one of the tables with a view, he became so flustered that he broke a glass and stormed off, catching himself and apologizing at the last moment since we were covered in glass. The situation was saved by a kind waitress who attended us well throughout the rest of our visit, which, from thereon was quite pleasant.

This was a perfect choice for a damp, rainy night. The atmosphere was warm and the staff were as well. Our food was delicious. Right now I remember the fries (chips, whatever you call them.) They were perfectly done to accompany our meal. They did the little things well and the big things were excellent. We never felt rushed. Enjoyed our conversation and our meal.

Decided to stop in without a reservation. The host got us a great table. So far so good. Things turned down from there. Took forever for the waiter to acknowledge our presence. Not the end of the world. He was busy and the place seemed mostly crowded. The bad part happened when it took 1 hour 20 minutes (!) for entrees to show up after ordering. The place had thinned out a bit so the delay was hard to understand. They blamed on it a "big party" downstairs. I'm guessing someone screwed up. The food itself was OK, not great. I eventually had to head to the host station to pay the bill myself since the waiter had gone MIA. I think this place means well, but their execution was terrible. I rarely leave bad reviews, but this place deserved it. Wildly overrated on Tripadvisor with the other options available in QC. You're better off taking your dining someplace else.Bonjour,I will not argue with you about what you write about us. Some people like you don't understand that sometime things can get out of control, that people can make mistakes or forget about thing. we are beeing human and trying our best. you came without a reservation, we squeeze you in but the what you cannot see is that this night our three floor were full. Usually you are using only two but this night there was a special party on the third floor. Maybe our mistake was to try to accommodate you. Our job is not so easy, Because this summer your had to refuse people in because we were too busy, but they saw a few table available and did write a bad review because we refused to accomodate them. at the door, you people make our decision hard to make.hope you did enjoy your stay in québec.Stéphane Roth, owner.
