what a great lunch shelter in Strašnice. My second visit was again enjoyable to my satisfaction. They have permanent menu, weekly and daily menu. From daily menu I chose a borscht. It was good, still more beet would make it more tasty and real. Roast pork loin with plummy souse and mashed potato and Mexican beef tortilla were tasty. Good value for money. The staff casual and cordial. I like their cozy interior with junk and old second hand stuff and great atmosphere.

We ate at this restaurant usually 2-3 times per week during our 5 month stay at the nearby Volha residence. It has cheap food and good beer. Prices are lower than cooking at home and portions large. Only negative is the extremely smokey atmosphere. Highly recommended.

New age Barbeque and Southern Fusion.
Absolutely brilliant BBQ, do not miss out. Would recommend reserving as we didn’t and almost couldn’t get a table. We were accommodated at the bar and fortunately got a table not long after. The sharing menu gets you ribs and beef with 3 sides so covers most bases. The beef brisket was probably the best I’ve ever!Service was brilliant and prices even better. Enjoy!

We are a country roadhouse where the 1950's and 60's converge with the 21st century. We are a road house, so if you are looking for the Ritz or Four Seasons you are headed to the wrong place. We do not take Credit Cards at this time so bring cash. ATM is
The girls here managed to fit in a party of 8 on a Friday night without a reservation when nowhere else even tried so thank you!I personally love pin-up / 50's comic-art / rock-a-billy style & the place had a great vibe. The burgers were to die for, large menu & portions. Great selection of local cold beers & wide choice of spirits. I Cannot recommend highly enough & will definitely visit again next time I'm in the city! The staff here were awesome, the most welcoming and engaging we encountered during our time in Prague, and to the friendly scouse lass working the bar... "SEAFORTH ROAD!!"

Lokal U Zavadilu (same as other Ambiente branches in the town) raised the bar very high in Prague's pub scene. Very good quality food and excellent Pilsen and superb service. Plus non smoking!

This is a micro brewery resturant in the suburbs of prague only been opened about 2 years but has been mentioned by myself and several others on the Prague forum
An old boiler house transformed into a pub restaurant with an on-site micro brewery. There is always a choice of various beers - last time we visited it they had lagers, dark beer, blond ale, dunkle weiss, Salvator (brewed in 2011!) etc. Don't expect fancy dining. The food is reasonably good, cheap and cheerful pub grub: schnitzel, pork knee, ribs, chicken wings, beer snacks like pickled sausages (utopenci), pickled cheese or home made crisps. They have daily specials as well. Last time we visited they had wild boar goulash, or duck roulade with dumplings. This is a no-frills place, and certainly not without faults (the dumplings were a bit rubbery), however its cheap, the beer is good and the service is friendly and very fast. The setting is very comfortable and as far as I can tell nobody was smoking there.

We have been a hundred times. No kidding. My family are real regular Stammgaste here, since they opened, always super happy. The more shocking and disappointing was our last visit on 28 April 2018. It was Saturday lunch time, beautiful sunny weather and the place was as busy as ever. As always, we came arrived through the garden, entered the terrace and started looking for a table. We were stopped immediately by a very stiff upper lip waitress and frogmarched inside where we were placed in a long line of guests waiting for the next available table. Half of the tables were empty, with a "reserved" sign. As ever, the other half were large tables occupied by just a couple, with plenty of empty chairs. Normally, you approach them, ask politely and if they do not mind, you join them. It is that kind of place. Often you form new acquintances or friendships this way. Not allowed that day. We asked the bar to order drinks to kill time while waiting. Not allowed, had to wait for another waitress. When she arrived, our favourite brew was not available. We could not sit, had to stand, my injured leg gave me hell. When we were finally seated, our favourite dish was not available. We hard the word NO way too many times that day. First time ever that we did not leave a tip. We sincerely wish all guests and staff that this was a mere momentary laps of reason.
