This was probably my hundredth time visiting and I can never have enough! True real basque cuisine and cheap! The menu del dÃa is always delicious and well portioned! If you want a true feel of basque cuisine and totally affordable, this is your place!

After such a weight of recommendation we were not disappointed, great pintxos in a crowded but really fun and joyful place. The staff were clearly having a great time and were excellent, the food compared well to San Sebastien and that is pretty much my highest praise. The star was for us the tuna carpaccio and the free chicken nibbles.Hi Phatbloke!We are very happy to know that you have been happy in La Malquerida.Vitoria has a lot to offer you, and in La Malquerida, we hope to see you soon!Hug!

Started with house-made chorizo saisage-delicious, had clams in a parsley sauce-fabulous, then for the entree, a "chuleta"-"small" steak with roasted red peppers. The steak was easily for 3 people and was cooked to perfection. Even the fat was tasty on the steak.desserts-most of which were home-made-were all delicious.Excellent selection of white and red wines-locally produced and within the Spanish borders.Can't wait to return.

We stumbled across this after visiting the salt mine. We planned a snack but for 11⬠we could get a 3 course lunch. I had the chickpeas and salted cod ( lovely and pretty much a main course in itself) Hubby had salad ( huge) and girls pasta ( also huge).For main I had sepia ( grilled very good) we also had steak and chips that wend down a storm. The omelette had a bit too many beans and other veggies for teenage daughter. Pudding OK.. overall could not fault value for money and friendly service
