The Kings Head is a family owned pub, set in the heart of the Roseland Peninsula within the secluded village of Ruan Lanihorne. Being a Freehouse, our emphasis is on supporting local beers, wines and spirits as well as local growers. The beef and lamb com
Visited here for a meal towards the end of June, based on the recommendation of our holiday cottage manager. The pub was recently under new management at the time, and were struggling with suppliers, but were very accommodating so it didn't impact our visit. The food was delicious, its a small menu and not standard pub food, but what we had was excellent! The staff were also lovely and accommodating, and we were even able to meet the resident dogs. All in all it was a great evening, and I'll visit again when I'm next in the area!

We are a small basement bar, specialising in rum, cocktails and BBQ food. The Brig offers a unique setting and an informal dining experience.
Went out to find a seedy little bar that served fantastic cocktails....and they nailed it! Can't remember too much but if you like rum and cocktails you have to make this your number one stop in Falmouth.. it's also underground in a cellar!! Apparently they also serve amazing food as well but I didn't have time for that, maybe next week!

In Falmouth to visit the Maritime Museum and decided to have lunch here. Very pleased we did! We both had roast beef (sadly for my husband lamb wasn't available) and it was delicious, served pink just how we like it. Accompanied with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and parsnips, mashed carrots and swede plus a bowl of cauliflower, broccoli and cabbage in cheese sauce. Highly recommended and remember to book as they were very busy. Looking forward to returning!Hi there and thank you for your kind review. We're all delighted to see that you enjoyed your visit to the Kings and we greatly appreciate you taking the time to give us feedback. We do apologise that we were unable to offer our full regular choice of meats due to a supply issue but this has now been rectified so your husband will be able to enjoy a lamb roast on your next visit! We look forward to seeing you both again very soon! The Kings Crew

We visited on Sunday night after seeing the positive reviews on Tripadvisor. We didnât book (thereâs no option on the website but the team told us next time fill in the enquiry form and theyâll confirm.)Iâd recommend booking as there are only a finite number of tables and it is clearly very popular. For good reason! Despite the lack of booking the super friendly team made sure we were accommodated.Service was prompt but not rushed. Very chatty but not intrusive. Laid back but on the ball too.Food...terrific. We shared an indulgent Camembert together and then both had the burger. Bursting with great flavour and texture.Excellent selection of beer, nice wine list for the location. And value! We are Londoners and so the reasonable prices were very refreshingThank you team, it was lovely.

The oldest and only traditional pub in St Mawes, The Victory Inn provides great quality food at a good price. Most food is made in house, with everything being sourced locally. The drinks selection is varied, with local spirits, wine, lager and ale availa
Had an enjoyable dinner at the Victory Inn. Reasonable prices and welcoming staff. I ordered the scampi and chips while my partner ordered the soup fo the day. Both meals arrived in good time and were well cooked. Nice traditional pub atmosphere with parking nearby. Would certainly recommend.

A charming unspoilt traditional English Pub offering quality cuisine , ales and wine .
Took my parents to the Roseland Inn for their first visit at lunch today.Between us we had the Ham-hock Scotch Egg (perfectly executed), Whitebait & chips, Seabass fillets on a salmon & dill risotto and a main sized pan-seared Scallops with salad. All dishes were cooked perfectly and nicely presented. My mum, who is a stickler for everything, declared the scallops were the most perfectly cooked and the French salad dressing the best sheâs ever had outside France. My wife - also very particular - enjoyed the seabass dish very much.

Locals grouped around the bar all willing to have a chat to a total stranger which was a great start.Very much home cooked food from the specials board which we opted for local faggots, creamy mash and pea puree (alright, mushy peas of a sort) and the other dish being a lush fish pie. Simple straightforward but very tasty and reasonably priced. For a Friday night and lashing with rain the pub filled up quite nicely with chatty locals and their dogs.Loved the unspoiled un tarted up atmosphere and the pub dogs padding around on the basis that they owned the place. Everything that a Cornish village local should be and long may it continue. Oh and by the by,the pub is in Gerrans, not Portscatho. Bit like saying Newport is in England !

Crab sandwiches in Cornwall are quite challenging. First you fail if there is any shell left in the meat. Secondly the bread and everything else has to be perfect. The crab sandwich I had was perfect. Added to that it was served in a lovely setting with a cool glass of beer.

The Plume of Feathers is a 17th century traditional Cornish coastal pub, offering hand pull beers and great food. On December 5th 2016 Helen and Roger took over this lovely little pub in this very friendly village. As much as the food as possible is local
Knowing Portscatho well we booked into The Plume and Feathers for one night. Rooms are small but comfortable. Quiet for a pub infant really peaceful, but perhaps not in the summer when everyone is outside drinking. Lovely comfy beds and a delicious breakfast in the morning. Remember to book dinner for the evening. ( The bar area was busy Monday night ) The dinner was delicious .

The Cutty Sark has an informal pub style dining area on the upper level as well as more formal restaurant on the ground floor that is also available for private party hire.
I booked a table by phone and was surprised to find the Pub restaurant almost empty. We were worried whether this was because the food was not up to much but were in for a surprise. The roast lamb with vegetables we ordered was lovely and rich, very tasty.Quite a different experience from other Sunday roasts in town recently, which haven't been up to scratch one way or another, from lukewarm or uncrispy roast potatoes or swimming in gravy. We found out later that the Pub had only just restarted offering Sunday lunches.Definitely worth another visit or two.
