I want to review the restaurant, not the hotel (lodging).
The Hideaway looked beautiful, clean, and had eye candy appeal. It had an elegant exterior. I decided to eat dinner there with my husband. The wait staff was friendly and helpful in dining suggestions. I liked the mahi mahi in a creamy avocado sauce. This restaurant was pleasant and away from the commercial strip of Samara.

A great place to meet friends for a casual meal or drinks. 100 meters from the Samara Beach on Main Street. American favorites as well as typical tico fare.
We popped by one late afternoon, on our way back to our AirBnb. Luckily it was happy hour, so 2 for 1 mixed drinks. And they were stiff!Had a couple of drinks and were on our way.Decent price, staff were great and drinks were cold.

I ordered the pizza Roma and the Capricciosa. The side of Parmesan cost me around $3.00 and it was no parmigiano reggiano. The pizza was very authentic, thin crust and very good ingredients. Overall it was very tasty. Service was great but slow. The restaurant can get quite full which makes the service drop the ball. It has a great ambiance and I would catalogue it as one of the top visited places in Samara. Depends on the day and season but itâs not always that full. My dinner was about $50 for 2 for pizza which I find a bit overpriced but overall the food was good and the beach was great. Here are a few tips, walk around the whole restaurant to find the best tables, some of these tables are not visible from the entrance. Every day happy hours from4-6pm. Depending on the day they offer a special promotion ask your waiter. The restaurant offers a lot more than pizza but I didnât try any other dish.

We came to see the live entertainment and thought weâd grab food as well. Big mistake. The service was terrible. I felt bad for the poor girl. She was completely overwhelmed though she really shouldnât have been, it wasnât that busy. They didnât have unchilled red wine and ironically said no to sangria. My fish (which was not good) - came without tartar sauce as mentioned in the menu. She brought me olive oil. She really couldnât understand what I was asking. The Yucca chips were battered in some flour batter. Very dry and tasteless. My husband had the âWasabi Tuna Burgerâ which came without any sign of wasabi. We didnât dare ask the server to sort that one out. I could only get 1/2 mine down. Just decided to go somewhere else. Itâs probably a fun spot if they actually have a drink you want and you donât eat anything.

Enjoyed a couple beers at this place while in Samara. Beer is OK but nothing special. It is a small place that gets a bit hot and blasts out their music loudly. Only real complaint was that he shorted my return change when I paid the bill. Figured the $1.70 he shorted me became his tip. Probably wouldn't return because of that experience.

Stopped by for margaritas and thinking of staying for dinner. Had tried jalepeno margaritas at Restaurante Catrina earlier in the week and they were excellent so my wife had one and I had a pineapple one. They were THE worst margaritas I've ever had and I've had them in many places. The jalepeno one was undrinkable and even tried mixing the two together to try to make them tolerable. Changed our mind on staying for dinner so i won't judge there. Server was friendly so no knock on her.

Lo Que Hay (It Is What It Is) is a lively beachside bar, serving tapas, tacos, nachos, and more. We've got delicious food, excellent views, and live music twice a week. Add in our extensive cocktail menu, ice-cold beer, and super staff, and we bet you'll
Besides a wonderful location on the beach where you can sit under trees, if weather permits, and the surfer feel of the location, this restaurant offers nice food at great prices. The staff is friendly and accommodating for special requests. Very nice place to relax, eat and/or have a drink. Definitely a go to place when visiting Samara.

Coco's is a Great Mexican restaurant with a onsite brewery. 2 gringos artisan brewery makes super good world class IPA and other beers. Stop by and try a cold one with your meal
Family early dinner. We ordered fajitas, fish Veracruz and a hamburger. The hamburger was the jalapeno burger, but didn't have any spice, hamburger was good. The fajitas were good but not special. Guacamole was too salty. The fish was not 100% cooked, the patacones were excellent.Service was excellent but not the food, did not meet expectations of a Mexican restaurant.
