If you're in beautiful kol peles Goroka and looking for a cheaper yet quality tasty meals drive down past Faniufa at the Southern end of the Airport along the Highlands Highway to the Haven Resort Café.The menu is to die for. The chef can prepare from the menu a variety of Western, Asian and local cuisine to your liking. The chef uses an abundance of fresh nutritious local ingredients to create mouth watering recipes that will have you coming back to explore other recipes sooner than you expect.I would highly recommend the Chef's daily specials with prices ranging between K25 but not exceeding K35.The view from the open restaurant looking towards the Ungai Range and the valley below is majestical. The best times to enjoy the view is in the afternoons after 5:30pm with a glass of red or a poison of your choice as you watch the sunset behind the range.Friday evenings are popular with the local business people, young professionals and the Expat communities who prefer the simple ambience, and slow winding down to the weekend mode feeling as they mingle and catch up on the happenings of the week.

The restaurant is in a good location within a new and popular shopping complex. However the food is terrible. I ordered barbecue steak but what I received was steamed meat and was not eatable and had to return it. They refused to refund the payment.
If you're looking to go outside of Port Moresby for a quick outdoor activity, this is a good place. You can do camping, swimming, horseback riding or your own games & activity. If you like watching the clouds and lying down the mountain this place is for you. Most locals do setup their own camp. But at the time we went, there was a downpour so the grass was really wet and muddy. Our group had to rent rooms which are quite spacious and comfortable so that's not an issue. But it's still best to go on a warm, dry day. Either way, don't forget to bring insect repellents coz at night there are a lot of mosquitoes. Overall it was a good experience.

The menu is mostly Chinese with the odd bar meal with chips. Food was good at lunchtime and a nice spot overlooking the small harbour watching people come and go. Good place in town to escape for a while

Edge By The Sea is open for breakfast 7am-11am weekdays and until 2pm on weekends, or for lunch from 11am-late. Happy hour 4pm-5pm everyday. Relax by the sea.
Went here with a local and very happy he recommended it!!! The staff are very friendly and the regular customers are all greeted by name. It was extremely windy but there is a shuttered wall to keep it all protected inside a gated accommodation precinct so extremely safe. Food selection isnât massive but everything is fresh and delicious. Fish and chips were fine and burgers looked really good (yes...food envy). Really good coffee too. Nice place so happy to recommend.

A good surprise in a pretty decrepit city. A complete menu with dishes from "all horizons." Some local specialties would have been welcome, but I guess it's not the purpose of the place. Excellent friendly and interactive-with-the-customer service. Medium/high prices.

We enjoyed dinner here recently where the lobster was cooked superbly and tasted fantastic at a very reasonable price. The entertainment from the woman singing enhanced the relaxed atmosphere of the club. The service we received was friendly and responded to all our needs.
