Things to do in Pacific
Definitely has the neighborhood bar feel. Friendly people, decent bar food. Nothing extra special about it but a fine place to go for a burger or wings and a game of pool.

We love coming to big chief- always a great spot for a quick meal. Home style comfort food for sure. They have a great patio and a nice bar as well.

Well-worn restaurant with small bar area. The staff is friendly and service is quick. I was craving a salad and had low expectations of this restaurant bar. However, their Summer Salad was a pleasant surprise. It included fresh mixed greens, diced red onion, feta cheese, mandarin oranges, blueberries and chopped pecans. I had it with balsamic dressing. A meal-sized serving for only $8.

Driving from Branson back home, we family was hungry by the time we got to Eureka. A quick look on Trip Advisor led up to O'Dells less than a mile off the interstate. We got seated and had a waitress attend to us in a few minutes. I got a cup of clam chowder with my club sandwich were yummy. Sis-in-law got their cornbeef and cabbage that she really enjoyed. Everyone else in the pub had various varieties of beer that they seemed to really enjoy. Nice setting with good food, attentive service, all at reasonable prices.

We came out for dinner on a Saturday night. We started off with the spinach artichoke dip which was smazing. Our server recommended the pasta special. The pasta had shrimp, crab meat with sun dried tomatoes and asparagus mixed in a cheese butter sauce. It was really good. I highly recommend the Hawthorne Inn for dinner.

We stopped in Pacific on our way to Branson, and asking out motel about a place for dinner we were given a list that included this hidden GEM. We ordered their fish and chips and were totally surprised by how tasty it was, perhaps the tastiest I have ever had including some in the land of fish and chips: London, England! Service was quick and very pleasant. Had an IPA ale from local micro brewery and that to was excellent. The atmosphere of the pub was very festive and inviting. Will definitely revisit of we ever pass Pacific again.

We heard about this place from Tripadvisors. I was especially impressed on a writeup by a reviewer regarding a not to great place to this place. Note: This may be fairly new as it did not show up on our GPS under restaurants. Entering into the place, it felt very comfortable. A lovely bar but with plenty of tables to go around. Our server, Nicole, was especially attentive. We ordered two entrees of the same type, and Nicole suggested that instead of half portion ribs each order one entree with additional sides if desired. No extra charge for plate sharing. Had a great pint of beer to wash our lunch/dinner down. Draft beer Zwickle I believe a nice ale. Appitizers consisted of Fried Pickles and Crawdad Cakes. The pickles were with andole and were a great hit. But the Crawdad cakes took the cake (so to speak). Moist cakes (2) containing plenty of crawdads with great dip.Entree of a full side of St Louis style ribs, Grandma's baked beans and Cornbread souffle. Ribs were plenty meaty with a great rub and sauce. Slow cooked to perfection. These we took back to the camper for late dinner as between the appizers and cornbread souffle we were only able to polish off a few ribs. Cornbread souffle was very very good. A hint of jabaneo peppers. with a egg/cornbread mix with a honey butter served to sweeten it. The baked beans were equally as good with a great sauce and regular beans and lima beans mixed into it. Jerry the owner stopped by and introduced himself checking on our experience. A very nice touch. Received a 10% military discount which made a good experience even better. Restrooms were clean. If I stayed in the area this would be one of my go to places to visit for lunch or dinner.
