Went for lunch with group of walkers. Everyone enjoyed their food. I had £7 goats cheese baguette which was generously filled with cheese and salad. Excellent, best sandwich have had recently. Pleasant staff and good service. Nice pub atmosphere.

The Hoddington Arms is a beautifully restored country pub serving great food, wine and real ales in the picturesque rural village of Upton Grey, Hampshire. Our highly attentive team offer a warm welcome and can recommend a variety of locally brewed ales a
We were recommended to try this pub and restaurant and were not disappointed. The two or three course lunchtime menu was excellent value at £22 or £27 The food quality and service was excellent and the interior is what you want from a country pub.We shall defiantly be returning and recommend.

I have been many times to this restaurant and booked today for my birthday with another couple. We arrived about 12.30 and ordered drinks and mains for food. The food did not arrive until about 1.30pm - with no apology for the wait! This is not acceptable, the restaurant was busy but not full. The food was OK but my pork belly was only just warm and very dried out. We tried to order desserts and I asked for creme brulee and was told 'I can't do that' When menus are given, guest should be told if any dish is unavailable. There did not seem to be enough staff around, and maybe the new menu was causing issues. Very disappointing.Hi Roangirl, your feedback is extremely disappointing, and I'd really like to speak to you to discuss it further. Please can you get in touch when you have a spare moment and drop me a contact phone number for you. My email address is [email protected] thanksDean BatemanGeneral Manager

The Queens Head has to be my favoured local restaurant, being about 100 metres from my front door. However, about 3 years ago, I had 3-4 consecutive bad experiences (cold food [not salad], wrong dishes delivered and lousy service). I stopped visiting and moved my preference down the road.About three months my circumstances changed meaning that I would eat out every evening. I chose to return to the Queens Head and do not regret the decision one tiny little bit. The new landlord and his staff are a different breed. They are very keen to please and work extremely hard at busy times. The food and selection has also improved immensely. For example Mussels and Scallops are now regularly available and very well cooked/prepared.So all in all I am able to thoroughly recommend this quaint Pub.

Our pub, the Mill House, is a Grade II listed watermill with its roots steeped in medieval times, it really is an extraordinary building. Upstairs you'll find a forest of beams and floors that have warped and tilted over hundreds of years, and throughout
Simply superb in every way. Busy bustling pub and resturant set in beautiful grounds with lake and gin shack outside. inside loads of tables over two floors. Water wheel and a very lovely decor and warmth around the whole place. booked late sunday lunch. place was packed. deservedly so. Wines by the glass reasonable. staff warm and attentive. We enjoyed mixed roasts of pork n beef plus beef roasts. portions generous, massive plates and superb. We had the optional cauliflower cheese as a sides and was so delicious. For great food and service in this ideal Odiham pub look no further. great lunch guys. thankyou...Hi RobinThank you so much for your kind words I will be sure to feed this back to the team. Rural family run pub with good food, great beer, excellent wines and friendly staff. We offer a beer garden, function room and love DOGS!
Stopped here during a nice walk along the Basingstoke canal. Sat in the beer garden with drinks and food. I had whitebait and we shared a nachos with chilli. Food was very good and exactly what we needed to fill a hole.

We had a really lovely evening tonight at this gastro pub. Steaks are absolutely delicious. Calamari for starter was perfectly cooked and the lemon meringue cheesecake was superb. Espresso martini was delicious too and was so impressed that it was just how I like it!Thank you to the staff for a great evening.

What a good find, I am not sure that it should be called a Steak house, none of us chose steak , we had differing dishes, all of which were excellent. The beers and wines were good too as was the friendly service. We will definitely return.

A popular and friendly high street pub, inn and dining establishment. The Red Lion is part of the award-winning Red Mist Leisure family and has a strong reputation in serving delicious, fresh, local and seasonal dishes and drinks that everyone will enjoy.
Often drink in the bar and I find it very friendly, comfortable and they have a good selection of beer. I took a friend from work to eat there and it was disappointing. I had the pork Chop from the set daily menu. The chop was tiny, in fact I would say it was not a chop as I always thought chops were quite large, had a bone and a decent rind on them. It was served up with cabbage, about 8-10 green beans a similar number of sliced carrots and mash. The main problem was it lacked flavour, it was devoid of seasoning and was served with a very thin, watery gravey.Sorry to be so harsh but I was in fact looking forward to the food, I didn't want the usual burger or deep fried fish hence I tried the 'traditional' fayre...mistake.I'll continue to drink but perhaps will avoid the temptation to eat.Dear Jeffwkirby,Thank you for your feedback, we are pleased to read that you find our pub friendly, comfortable and a great drinking venue. We are sorry that your recent dining experience was not as good as your previous times in our pub. We take all comments on board and we will definitely share yours with the kitchen team. Our midweek menu changes every week so we hope this last experience will not deter you from returning to try new dishes from this menu.Looking forward to see you soon, Tiago
