Find out what Bar restaurants to try in Obergurgl. Heaven isn’t too far away from Obergurgl. Maybe because, at 6000 feet elevation, it’s the highest church parish in Austria. Or maybe it’s just the skiing. Take a guided tour with an expert mountaineer, explore the wintery dreamscape off-piste or get exclusive “early bird” slope access that ends with oysters and champagne. Or ditch the skis and go for a winter hike or thrilling toboggan ride. Ski huts and rest stops range from rustic to futuristic, all with panoramic views.

Wonderful lunch in the sun just above the Hohe Mut mid-station.Huge variety of food (both traditional or otherwise - the ribs were great!) and drinks at reasonable prices. Staff were friendly and efficient. A great place to relax and spend an afternoon out in the sun if warm, or tucked up inside at a cosy booth when the snow sets in. Thoroughly recommended.

Great for lunch - they donât take reservations at busy times so get a good spot early! Pizza is delicious and finger food also v tasty (onion rings, mozzarella sticks, breaded prawns and chicken wings). Good service and a lovely place to sit in the sun.
This is a charming mountain restaurant with simple but tasty mountain food. The room is small and when we were there it was packed as the weather was terrible. It is at the top of the Kirchenkarlift and hard to get to if you dislike T-bars, which I do.As a restaurant it is pretty good and was a welcome stop after the rigours of the lift...however the skiing was good
Even if the C.U.Bar was right by the slopes I doubt it would be that successful - unless major changes were made to it. To start with, it was incredibly smokey. Yes, I know we could have (and should have) walked out but we wanted to watch the rugby on Sky and couldn't find anywhere else showing it near our hotel. It's also in the wrong place - in a barren area between the first two (of three) clusters of building that make up Obergurgl. This bar is identical in size and layout to Schatzi's in Saalbach - I'd suggest the owner / manager of the C.U.Bar goes there to see how to properly run a bar of this size.
