Reviews on Bar food in Nottingham, England, United Kingdom. This town in the very center of England is perhaps best known for its association with the legend of Robin Hood. The men in tights are long gone, though—today, you’ll find a modern city with a fantastic playhouse, ice hockey arena, and many, many shops and clubs.

Located within the centre of Nottingham, this is a great restaurant for friends or families. It has a wide menu of traditional British food and is a great place for tourists to sample British dishes in a casual environment. Having booked, we were seated in a beach shack style booth with subdued lighting, this would be ideal for somewhere romantic. The cottage pie was delicious!HiWhat lovely and kind words about Georges. We are glad you took the time to come visit us and enjoyed yourself in the process. We like to take classic British food and give it the Georges twist. Thank you again for recommendations and the positive feedback. ThanksRyan

Dreamt up from seaside family holidays & unforgettable summer day trips to Matlock Bath, Blackpool & Brightons iconic pier... Penny Lane is a place for everyone. Whether it be for food, drink or our iconic amusement arcades, we welcome you to join us & ex
4 of us went to Penny Lane for birthday celebrations. We booked in advance and were given a comfortable booth once we arrived. Our server Sam was lovely - welcoming, helpful, polite & fun; a lovely lad! Our food was delicious - our party had cheeseburgers, a chicken burger and the fried chicken & waffles. We all enjoyed our food. Had 2 round of drinks (cider, beer, wine) and then we ordered the Hook a Duck cocktail. £111 for the 4 of us. Service was at times a little slow (no reflection on Sam, he was running around the place and chasing our orders up). When we'd finished we had a go on the games, which was fun. We enjoyed the donkey derby a lot but it was a bit packed and there's not a huge variety of games to be honest. Ladies were sparkling clean, which is always a plus! Overall we had a good, fun night and I would probably go again.Hi Lisa, Thanks for your review - Sam will be over the moon to see he helped make your night enjoyable! We do hope to see you again soon.

Situated in the middle of Nottingham, Bar + Block Steakhouse is an informal, all-day dining restaurant with a focus on high quality steaks. The contemporary restaurant design features a large open kitchen, spectacular central bar and rustic design element
Chose this restaurantabove other in the locale. Complacency would best sum up the experience. Wrong drink delivered to the table - had to goto the bar to get my original choice as staff appeared to be too busy. Meal was very good except for the side dishes which were very lukewarm. Took a while to catch the attention of a staff member and have them exchanged. That said, the steak was cooked perfectly. I'd go again if the situation presented itself.

Some confusion with the Groupon voucher meant we ordered 2 courses but still had to pay for our desserts as the Groupon was for starter and main only, not main and dessert. Disappointing as we told the waitress when we arrived that we had the 2 course Groupon and ordered our food and nothing was said until our bill arrived. We didn't have the starters that were included but still charged for the desserts. The food wasn't great, the burger tasted gristly. Ice cream sundaes were very basic. Quite disappointed after reading the great reviews and won't return. We are sorry you were disappointed. Unfortunately it states on the terms and conditions on the Groupon site and also on the voucher what is included in the deal and that it can not be exchanged for anything else without a surcharge being paid. We are sorry you didn't enjoy the food and hope you reconsider about trying us again

Venezia is one of Nottinghamâs most popular traditional Italian restaurant for all the family. Italian chefs and true Italian food hand picked and sourced from the finest suppliers available. We pride ourselves on our home made dishes, all hand prepared b
Our third and probably last visit to Venezia.Walked into the restaurant about half an hour before our table reservation, with the intention of getting a drink prior to our meal. Attempted to order at bar, but was interrupted by a member of staff as they were obviously having a dispute with the bar staff about a dining tables orders for drinks. Got the feeling then that there was something amiss for the night, and should have bailed!Restaurant was very busy, with staff running around all over the place, it was a strange environment, we were very conscious that we were an inconvenience and in the way all the time, rather than being a welcomed guest. A feeling I couldn't shake for the evening.Made it to our table, which was nice, food was very slow. Sat down at 8 and main course arrived just after 9:15. To be fair the food was good, fillet steak was excellent, vegetarian risotto was missing some seasoning but was good. However restaurant was obviously overbooked for the kitchen capacity, what was supposed to be a celebratory meal felt like it was a rather fraught dinner at a school canteen. Staff were not interested and to be honest by the end we were please to get away.Shame as it was becoming a favourite restaurant in the area, but we will go an be an 'inconvenience' elsewhere in the future!

The cocktail masterclass was so much fun and such good value for money. We got lots of booze included and played games. Matt was brilliant. He went above and beyond to make sure that we all enjoyed ourselves and had great banter. He needs a pay rise!!! Thank you to the whole team :) I would definitely recommend. Ps. Sorry for all of the confetti mess we left!Hi Laursmitchell, thank you so much for your feedback and for taking the time to write us a great review! I'm so happy to hear you had a great time with us and we look forward to your next visit. See you soon!

I am a student at the university of Nottingham. The rose and crown is in Nottingham. That is convenient. I go to the rose and crown. In fact, I drink beer there. The staff are great. They can even remember long orders without writing it down. Very commendable. I like the rose and crown. I think you would too. I recommend the rose and crown for everyone between the ages of 18 and 100. Thatâs because anyone under 18 isnât legal and nobody in Nottingham lives to be over 100. Thanks.Fraser R, thank you for sharing your positive experience! Positive yet quite bizarre, please make yourself known to me next time you are around, I'd like to shake your hand. Thank you, and have a fantastic day!Steph
