I followed the herd after seeing the #1 rating on TripAdvisor in Braga and wandered down from my hotel. While my expectations were high they were well satisfied. Attentive yet not over bearing service. I was talked out of ordering a starter (a first for me!) because I ordered the ribs. Good call! Slow cooked for a day the meat fell off the bone. Highly recommended. Oh and the cheesecake was awesome and even though I didnât indulge they have a massive cocktail list also.

Freshest fish available being right in the market and careful attention to preparation and service make this a great find. For dessert the cheese cake was refreshingly light yet very flavorful. Pedro, the owner, is gracious and so willing to help. We simply asked him to feed us and he delivered, big time!Thank you so much for visiting and for the friendly comments you left us. I found that the hospitality was sophisticated yet approachable, an ambient atmosphere with a flare of fun! After my long travels from South Africa, my custom designed cocktail was well received. If youâre in Esposende, itâs well worth your while to experience Shore House!

If youâre in Porto make sure to book RUA. Itâs a small wine / tapas bar 10 minutes walk from the centre (eg from Praca da liberdade near San Bento station) that has live music. The food and wine and beer are all good and the music is brilliant - great acoustics and vibe without being deafening so you can still chat if you want to. The staff could not be nicer or more professional (even though they spent a lot of time turning people away as the bar is small and the place is understandably very popular). Youâve been warned!

After a long day walking around Porto we stopped here for an evening meal. The menu is not extensive, with a mixture of Brazilian and Portugese food. The staff were helpful with explaining and recommending what to eat. Simple food, very enjoyable, sensibly priced.
