Reviews on Bar food in Ngapali, Rakhine State, Myanmar. Thandwe ("Thandway" in Arakanese)(Burmese: သံတွဲမြို့; MLCTS: samtwai: mrui. [θàɴdwɛ́ mjo̰]; formerly Sandoway) is a town and major seaport in Rakhine State, the westernmost part of Myanmar. Thandwe is very ancient, and is said to have been at one time the capital of Rakhine State, then called Arakan. The district has an area of 3,784 square miles (9,800 km). The country is mountainous, the Arakan Mountains sending out spurs which reach the coast. Some of the peaks in the north attain 4,000 and more ft. The streams are only mountain torrents to within a few miles of the coast; the mouth of the Khwa forms a good anchorage for vessels of from 9 to 10 ft (3.0 m). draught. The rocks in the Arakan Range and its spurs are metamorphic, and comprise clay, slates, ironstone and indurated sandstone; towards the south, ironstone, trap and rocks of basaltic character are common; veins of steatite and white fibrous quartz are also found. Between 1961 and 1990, the mean annual rainfall was 5,323 millimetres (209.6 in). Except a few acres of tobacco, all the cultivation is rice.

We went there for a last night in Ngapali Beach dinner. We had read the excellent reviews and looked at the menu online. It seemed like a great choice, and upon arriving, that impression was confirmed. The hotel is stunning. Even the gold Christmas tree at the front entrance was stunning. However, it all went downhill from there. We started with the Raw Papaya Salad, clearly marked on the menu with a âVâ for vegetarian. After eating a few bites we came across little shrimps. We called the waiter over who said that they were dried, not fresh, as if that made them vegetarian. We sent it back. We then had the Basil Pesto which was nice, although nothing special. When the bill came, the papaya salad was on it. We called the waiter back again and pointed that out. It was promptly removed from our bill. Both our waiter and another person apologized over and over, and blamed it on a chef who âforgotâ. A professional chef forgot that vegetarian items donât include seafood? We donât think so. Whatever happened, it was not the grand finale dinner in Ngapali that we had anticipated.Dear Jo B,Mingalarbar!Thank you very much for sharing your experience at Flow. We were disappointed to read the shortcomings of our standards, please accept our sincere apology. We have shared your sentiments with the related department managers making sure corrective actions are taken.Once again, our apology and we look forward to welcome you again to experience a stay that lives up to your expectations.Yours sincerely,Eugene & the team

Great taste of cocktails and cold beers, casual local style setting and great view of sunset! Operating between October - May every year.
I was lucky enough to stay at the Hilton and visit this bar a few times whilst I was here. The staff are simply exceptional. "Smith" amongst others really made the experience a fun and interesting one. We enjoyed the conversation very much. The sunset from the bar views are spectacular. And the drinks are very well priced and extensive menu. Would highly recommendHi Sightsee174375,Thank you very much for your amazing review!Smith is an exceptionally outgoing and dedicated barman, who puts a lot of time and passion into what he does. We are extremely glad that you enjoyed our services and we sure hope to see you soon again. The sunset views are indeed the best unobstructed views in the entire Ngapali, as we are the only elevated bar!. The happy hour menu is specifically designed for sundowners.Best regards,Shervin ThomasFood & Beverage Service Manager

Located between Thande Beach Hotel & Memento Resort, Ngapali Main Beach, serving fresh seafood, excellent cocktails.
Kind of pathetic amount of loyalty but after trying various other places, we couldn't match the food and smoothie quality and the hospitality. At the end of our week in Ngapali we realized we had gone 7 times! The food was great - clearly fresh and very tasty. Smoothies are a true treat and all of the staff are extremely friendly. Don't go expecting a quick in and out visit - they have made an excellent restaurant out of a small hut on the beach - and it takes time to make it all work. We were so relaxed we didn't really find it slow and enjoyed the slow pace. Our daughter loved the food - and they were patient with the many requests for more tomato sauce. The Pirate was one of the highlights of our trip to Ngapali.
5 Star, Excellent Service, Romantic & Lovey Place, Fresh Food, Amazing Cocktail and Drink, the waiter & waitress are ever sweet & smile, thanks for your service. The next time i will going there.
After having had some okay, rather lukewarm, beers in other bars it was great to find somewhere with really good cold beer! There was also a selection of really tasty BBQ skewers that complimented the beer well. Really worth trying! Thought the location was good too. Opposite a very nice looking new hotel and next to Oriental Balloons. ( Looking forward to going up in one next week). And of course you couldnât get much closer to one of the most beautiful beaches ever!Thank you very much for your kind feedback. We hope to see you again in the future!
