Visited Saturday lunch time and we had lovely food and no complaints. However, we eat out most Saturday's at places with home cooked fresh food and we found the Westbury Tavern to be more expensive than most, which also includes the drinks. As a result of this we will not be regular visitors or will it be on the top of our recommendations.

just been to the Cotton Mill for Breakfast (Sunday 6th October), we'd seen it advertised so thought we'd give it a try. In for 9:40am (opened at 9am) and having cruised the menu decided on (i) Steak and Eggs (5oz steak, 2 eggs, grilled tomato, grilled mushroom and 2 hash browns, I swapped my hash browns for chips) £7.50 while Senior management decided she was having the breakfast wrap £4.50 with an extra portion of black pudding 50p. You can get lots of extras from sausage to fries all at 50p. You can get anything from toast through full English, plus specials, so you shouldn't be stuck for choice. Lovely relaxed breakfast, great service, food was well cooked and really tasty, steak ordered rare came rare (and thats a rarity at some steak places). 3 cups of tea and an orange juice :-)) Good value for money all round and now we don't have to eat until tonight. We couldn't believe that we were the only ones in for breakfast, do yourselves a favour, before too many people discover breakfasts here, go down and try, you'll be pleased that you did. Go get some. I've added some photos of the menu and the food for you to cruise and choose before you go :-)Dear GuestThank you for your lovely review we really appreciate all the feedback we get. I am very pleased you had a positive experience here with us and I will pass your comments on to the team personally. We look forward to seeing you again soon.Gareth RogersAssistant Manager

What an amazing place. Beautiful restaurant, friendly staff and food that was like something Iâve never had before. Baby chorizo and halloumi skewers and Mushroom bake for starters. Roasted pork belly and Thai chicken skewers for mains. All washed down with a bottle of rose. Thankyou for an amazing evening. The food was out of this world!

Small, friendly, community local pub serving good quality drinks and delicious home cooked food Tuesday to Saturday at lunchtimes and early evening and Sunday lunch.
Went to the Waggon and Horses with family for lunch after reading many excellent reviews about it. However our greeting upon entering wasn't overly friendly and we immediately felt somewhat uncomfortable. All of us ordered lasagne and chips; the lasagne was extremely greasy and the chips were significantly undercooked. Overall it wasn't a good experience and personally we won't be going back.

In 2017 we refurbished our out of town venue including a new front extension. We are a rustic styled restaurant & bar offering a great range of craft beers, speciality gins and a fantastic range of quality food. We are open 6 days a week (mondays closed)
Having been to this bar/cafe many times following a very sad day whilst we laid our very dear relative to rest at the age of 47, we decided after the wake for a small part of the family to go for tea. We had been in Wolstanton for the funeral so I suggested the Shed as my workplace often use this place for social meets and meals for birthdays etc. What a mistake that was. The day had been very emotional and we were all just needing food and to chill out together. We arrived into the bar around 5 pm and ordered drinks to which the chef who claimed he was the manager asked us if we had been smoking weed???? Randomly especially as we are all in our 40s and my 70 year old parents were with us.As you can imagine this was embarrassing in front of customers already using the bar. Different members of the family approached him for his reason why he thought various people dressed in black in suits and carrying funeral order of service looked like a bunch of people whoâd been smoking weed..We had ordered drinks by this stage which we quickly finished and left we ate elsewhere, where we were very welcome and we will never return here.Absolutely shocking behaviour and service and we all have made sure to give all our friends the review which meets the emotional upset on the day that this person inflicted on us as a family. My father was very upset and runs a pub himself and would never speak to customers in this way.

I visited this establishment last week on their student night based on a Thursday and describing it as remarkable is an understatement. The staff behind the bar were polite, being very attentive to my rather prolonged orders. Furthermore the DJ,I believe was called Justin, had extraordinary skills that seem to be to be such a rare asset at the moment. His glamorous assistant Dean was also a pleasure to speak to, a rather cheeky chap if I may say so myself. All in all an extraordinary student night, one wouldnât expect such a vibe in a smaller town. Must have been 400 people in all night!! A must to visit if your in the vicinity!
