After hiking to Alpe Di Spessola on a Sunday we decided to stop in to Ristorante Poldo for a late lunch. Earlier we had seen cars surrounding the place and by the time we returned there were literally crowds of folks enjoying the afternoon outside. Indications we were in for a treat! We were met by the owner who quickly set us at a table. It was clear dining was winding down, but we felt welcomed. We were provided a translation of the menu and four of us proceeded to share an anti-pasta and three pasta dishes. Pizzocheri, spagetti with a meat ragu, and cheese filled ravioli with bacon. More than enough for hungry hikers. The atmosphere was celebratory, families talking, kids playing. Service excellent and prices fair. This seemed like a place to enjoy an afternoon with a large group.

I came here to this amazing town with such a good surrounding around, atmosphere and I got to this place and before to came In, the waiter gave us a such a good welcome, MARCO itâs such an amazing and kind polite man, he made me had a good time in this restaurant, THE FOOD WAS AMAZING I HAD a vegetarian Lagsana OMG and the caprese salad guys RECOMMENDED A 100%. thanks a lot for your good service. A fantastic and friendly local bar and shop with great service. Start the day with quality coffee and croissant, buy some supplies in the attached shop and hang out and enjoy the local vibe in the heart of a beautiful village, 100 hundred meters from an ancient church .(located in NessoâVicoâ.)Highly recommend for lunchtime and evening drinks,snack.really good choice of drinks , even de-caff cappuccino for those who want to sleep!The owners speak English too.Highly recommend for a authentic local experience.

They treat tourists like *h*t, because they know they don't come back anyway.We were first in the queue and two groups of Italian speakers came and were given table. We asked the only nice (young girl) worker why this happened, and forwarded the question. The reply was that those people had reservation. That was an obvious lie since the restaurant was full and that table just got free.After getting the table it took forever to be served. Finally we ordered the food, that felt promising. 10-15 minutes later the waitress came to tell that they ran out of the dishes we ordered. And it turned out pretty much all the dished they had for main dishes. So we had to order whatever random they had left.. This was half way of the lunch time...Food wasn't that good. Just normal. One of the first meals of the whole trip I would say.As a summary, AVOID.

We were late in, tired and just needed a light meal, the staff were friendly and so helpful and they are what made this a very special experience for us, great recomedations, they new thier stuff! and were proud of what they were doing.We were given a card by another pleasant youg man at breakfast for La Piazzetta, who also own the Bistro, I hope to get there too one day! if you can pick great people to represent your business that is a great skill too, Grazie Mille!!We were on our way but had to take a car park further away, when we walked past the Bistro on our way into Argegno via the back streets and bridge, there are no accidents this place was perfection for us, right time place etc Caio Caio!

Stopped by for some espresso, and a quick lunch! Nice staff, great view of Lake Como, the kids had fun at night going there for happy hour!
