This place is interesting. The food is pretty good.(hit&miss) Sometimes they need a second shot to get it right. However when they do it's good. The service is great. Your order is taken as soon as you are ready.

This is an older restaurant. Appeared to be fairly clean though. Our family came to watch TV and have dinner. We had some tasty appetizers- tacos, spinach dip, salads. All fairly good. I had a steak with sweet potato mash. Done just right and I liked it. Everyone else liked their food. Service was good. Nothing to complain about.

Went here for lunch with a colleague and ordered chicken po boy with fries. One french fry was cold to the touch, others were fried beyond recognition. Pickle lukewarm and limp. Fried onions on sandwich were beyond disgusting, tasted like they were from the day before. Asked for a fresh batch and was given a plate of the exact same product. They weren't even warm and they certainly weren't crispy. Waitress did not ask if they were any better and when she asked if I wanted to pack up the remaining half a sandwich I could not even look at because it was so gross I said absolutely not. Never asked if there was something else they could get for us and certainly wasn't offered any discount on bill. Will never ever go there again.

Heard about the Tara Inn for years and finally went. First and foremost itâs a saloon and offers the cheapest food around. Noisy and unsophisticated but has a certain raunchy charm. Check out the blackboard photo and see the unbelievable prices on the food.

Life is too short to dine at mediocre restaurants. This restaurant is far from mediocre....it is fantastic! Try the fried calamari or mussels or baked clams....all great. The fresh fish, whatever way you like, is always good. We like fish prepared oreganato. The lamb we had was cooked to perfection. Happy hour is terrific and if you like beer...they have many superior brands and choices. We will try this again very soon.

Never been disappointed by anything at Old Fields. Service is always tremendous. Food is always terrific. The difference between this restaurant is the menu, very different, which may be a plus if you the adventurous type. If not, they have a great burger. The only real issue I had was that there are items on their online menu that are not offered at all of their locations. As a steakhouse, I would say Old Fields is priced perfectly. It is priced lower than a high end steakhouse (Insignia, Paces), but still pricier than J&Rs and the like. Bottom line for me is: Great Food + Great Service = Iâm going back

This restaurant has both indoor and outdoor dining, not from the Port Jefferson ferry. We were outside on a sunny day for lunch, and it was beautiful. The restaurant can be easily missed since it is directly off a parking lot.We each had one appetizer and a salad. I had a crab cake which was outstanding! It was fresh, made on-site by the chef, not, pre-made. Unlike other crab cay I have had, it was not filled with bread crumbs. My husband had a shrimp cocktail, 3 jumbo shrimp. We both had salads, were excellent. We are glad that you and your husband enjoyed your crab cake, shrimp cocktail, and salads! We greatly appreciate the review and hope you dine with us again.

We have been coming here for years. Great bartenders, mostly great food.Today I ordered something I've ordered many times before. The cajun burger. I ordered it medium rare. It arrived very, very well done with nothing on it. The menus were gone but having had it before I thought it came with sauteed onions and a sauce plus cheddar cheese. I asked the bartender and he said it didn't but it came with a slice of raw onion.I never send anything back and ate some of it.It sucked. Well my wife had a salad that was great and I didn't complain. Went home and checked the menu online and sure enough it was supposed to have sauteed onions and a sauce and cheddar cheese. Hey Jack! Eric or Jessica would never serve me something like that!
Benchwarmers has great food at a very reasonable price. They make an excellent burger! Both lunch and dinner is great and they have a good kids meals also.
