Find out what Bar restaurants to try in Mossel Bay. Mossel Bay is a harbour town of about 130,000 people on the Southern Cape (or Garden Route) of South Africa. It is an important tourism and farming region of the Western Cape Province. Mossel Bay lies 400 kilometres east of the country's seat of parliament, Cape Town (which is also the capital city of the Western Cape Province), and 400 km west of Port Elizabeth, the largest city in the Eastern Cape Province. The older parts of the town occupy the north-facing side of the Cape St Blaize Peninsula, whilst the newer suburbs straddle the Peninsula and have spread eastwards along the sandy shore of the Bay.

This cafè has great burgers and Prego rolls. Overlooking Mossel Bay and onto Seal Island, you can sit for hours and enjoy the view. In October, I saw whales from this spot! Bring your binoculars! Food is good, service is great and prices are very reasonable. This was a great find!
Previously known as the Hartenbos Station, Dolf se Stasie opened its doors in 2009 and features live music, big screen TVs, snooker tables and a jukebox. We offer an à la carte menu, which includes steaks, burgers, fish, chicken, calamari and platters. We
I visited this place without getting any reference beforehand. Please stay away. You will find drunk rude locals inside, swearing and laughing loud. You will not be able to hear people with you because of the noise. No non smoking zone, average service, kitchen close early. Food was ok but very small portions. When I walked out the place I walk through people fighting outside, blood everywhere.

Big Blu Venue is a Beach and Surf Cafe Style Restaurant specializing in mouthwatering seafood and local cuisine Big Blu has reincarnated itself with a little help from Mother Nature. In a word - the view is simply "spectacular"! The ambience is casual and
It is a shame that Big Blu only relies on their setting on the rocks to try and make up for a dirty restaurant, extremely slow service and cremated hamburger patties. We had to ask (a very unfriendly and unwilling) waitress to please clean a garbage bin which was overflowing, perhaps since the previous evening - we were in for lunch. The service was very slow, and what we thought would be a quick hamburger lunch, became a very long wait for a overcooked meal. And it was a quiet afternoon, the place was nearly empty. What they do on a busy day, I really would not even want to think about. We won't be back.

Place was empty at lunch time which probably was a sign, since the rest of the restaurants in town was packed. They forgot two of the drink orders, we had to wait for someone to come back so we can ask. There was no place mats on the tables, and it didn't look very clean.

What an amazing experience. The decor is all about the history of Searles. The place mats, the walls, everywhere are reminders of the Searles history. The First night I ordered the cheapest dish, a stacked schnitzel with bacon and pineapple. The others ordered the ribs and mash. I thought that maybe I made a mistake, then the dish arrived. It was a lot of food. I struggled to finish it.My companions enjoyed their meal. Everything was good.Albertometer:Atmosphere 9/10 True historical atmosphere of the early settlers. Wooden floors and live music.Staff 8/10 The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hippest spot in Mossel Bay. Whether you are a local or just passing through, thereâs no hotter spot to be in Mossel Bay than at The Legendary Blue Oyster Bar. Itâs the perfect spot to lounge in the sun on a hot summerâs day. The deck has a view over S
The views are really beautiful. This bar is at the back of the Gannet restaurant and Protea Hotel. We sat at one of the outdoor tables. A menu was brought to the table but nobody came to take our order. We ended up moving to the Gannet. Dear reginafugThank you so much for your visit. We apologize for the service confusion. The bar is a much more casual and relaxed setting than the restaurant. As part of this, orders for food and drinks get placed with the staff at the bar counter.Although this is printed on the menu I will address this with the team, so that they also explain this to guests when delivering the menus. The bar certainly does have an extraordinary view and I hope that you will come back and enjoy it once more. Hopefully on a hot summers day with an ice cold G&T.Best regards, Janine

We popped in for a meal and a beer. The location of the restaurant right on the sea and the views of the harbour & Mossel Bay - especially at sunset, are a treat. The Ocean Basket we shared was excellent, and the fish beautifully prepared and cooked, with great chips and cold beer. The graffiti on every table and piece of wood is really over the top though, and gives an otherwise quirky and lekker restaurant, a shabby and low-class feel. We felt it was time for a repaint and sprucing up!

We only had drinks at this amazing place but we can't wait to go back. We sat on their outside upstairs veranda overlooking the busy streets of Mossel Bay sipping away on a bottle of Rose and were in awe about how this place was transformed. The detail to the building, the decor, the dress of the waiters... Everything just great and so refreshing to see a menu that doesn't have everything fried on the menu like most restaurants in Mossel Bay. We met one of the owners and have made a friend for life. We wish u guys all the best and we can't wait to enjoy a meal at the Cork and PlungerDear Tasha, Thank you for visiting us, it was amazing to meet with you both, look forward to welcoming you again soon! Thank you for what you both have done for us, really appreciate this! Best of luck for season!Taha
