A lovely dinner with great service.Fairly noisy as the place was so busy but we were made to feel special by the professional services of Lala our table staff. Lala took great effort in ensuring all in our group were looked after in a timely manner. Lala was professional, friendly, smiling, attentive and went the extra mile. Perfect location in Mornington, parking readily available around the venue, atmosphere, relaxing and cosy. Entertainment provided with special tribute nights occasionally like Elvis. Food amazing from antipasto platters to the beautiful pizzas and mussels. Food is sourced locally as are all the wines and boutique beer. What an absolutly charming place. Special comment to Sam who made us feel welcome and looked after us beautifully. Food is great value, well prepared and tastes delicious. What was really impressive was the amount of locals that enjoy this place and the singers. Definitely on our list when we return.

It is a year since we were here and again we were impressed. Chef Dane Shaw and his wife Philippa have put together a new menu which caters for Low Fodmap, Dairy Free, Nut Free, Gluten Free, Vegan and Vegetarian. I have been a vegetarian for over 40 years and the meals were excellent. Beds are amasing, huge breakfast delivered to your room, great views of ocean. Sitting on the balcony you can watch the sunsets, a great place to relax and spoil ourselves.

I apologise for previous poor review,I confused Bay Hotel for Grand Hotel. The Bay Hotel is classy, comfortble and has always served great beer and fantastic risottos, again sorry.Outside seating on Main Steert Street with a cold beer and meal makes for a perfect Summer,

Our monthly lunch, always a lovely catch up, the Grand never disappoints.Very accommodating to our three elderly Dad's and their walking frames and wheelchair.Great table service making it so much more enjoyable. Our meals were delicious, their senior's meals are incredibly generous in size. The customer service was excellent. Parking out the front of the hotel, in Main Street, is virtually nonexistent. However ample parking is at the rear, you just have to push wheelchairs up the side alley, this is the only access for the elderly, or wheelchair access. A member of staff told me the hotel will soon have a lift installed very soon. Brilliant news!Hi Denise,Thanks for the review, I'm so glad you and your family enjoy your visits to the Grand. After going to this great little bar for a few years we decided to try it again after a recent change of ownership. What a difference an owner makes! The new vibe was decidedly unfriendly and when the wrong order was presented to us we were rudely told that we had made a mistake. The person whom I presume was the new owner was very unpleasant, couldn't get out of there fast enough and definitely wont be going back.

The MP brewery was pumping on the Friday night that we visited - we were lucky to score a table outside in their shady courtyard/beer garden. Featuring a good selection of beers - including some lighter options for those driving back, this will keep the beer lover in your life happy. The pizza selection is pretty good, and all of our were tasty and generous in size. The outside tables are a good choice for those with kids and this is a kid friendly venue.
