The Roosevelt Bar is an authentic New Orleans neighborhood bar on Roosevelt Way, not to be confused with the Sazerac Bar found inside the hotel. The less fancy Roosevelt Bar's website is tied to this post, at this time anyway. Both bars are worth a stop, so you can't go wrong. One is fancy, the other is not.Great bartenders, fun place to people watch. A patron and her dog bellied up to the bar to say hello, bartender gave the pooch dog treats. "A dog walks into a bar" jokes went abound. Good folks, good place.

This beautiful two-story building was erected in 1809 by Antoine Angué where he opened the Vieux Carréâs first Creole Bistro called, The Restaurant dâOrleans. Today, the property is owned by the noted local business team of Pam Fortner and Earl Bernhardt.
Hidden in back of main restaurant is a delightful garden! Wine selection is excellent! Able to order sockeye salmon, special of night. Servers Jason (look for hat;) & Alyssa weâre wonderful! Ambiance was enhanced by delicious, finely prepared foods paired with Washington state wine!!Highly recommend this New Orleans GEM!!!!

We dropped by for the $0.60 oyster hour ($7.20/dz), with $3 wines. Sadly, the delicious Zombies were full price ($9), had 3 anyway. The chargrilled oysters were too cheezy, and overcooked. The raw oysters were great, but a bit sandy. We extended into dinner and had a great time. The outside areas are too hot during the day in September, but great in the evening.

Atlanta Falcon fans were in the house and let me tell you how great this place is!! We walked in Saturday night (June 29th) about 20 minutes til closing. We were greeted with great hospitality and seated promptly. The chargrilled oysters were AWESOME!! They were the best we had after eating at several known restaurants around town. We also had the fried shrimp platter and they were AMAZING!! FRESH and fried to perfection! We should have made this our 1st stop instead of our last stop. We will recommend to others and definitely be back on our next trip during football season. Ashley was our waitress and she was very pleasant and helpful. We even enjoyed our chat with the manager on our way out. Thanks for the awesome food and service!!

This is a very informal restaurant in the Bucktown area. The grilled oysters, especially the Florentine version, are excellent. The menu offers a wide range of seafood dishes, including combinations of multiple seafoods, and the portions are large. The wine list is tiny, and all the offerings, red and white, are priced at $22/bottle.

Lively New Orleans-based chain offering oysters, po' boys, gumbo & other Cajun-Creole classics.
My wife and I had two free weekend nights at a Hilton property, so we decided to go to New Orleans. I'm originally from there but live in Houston, so this was another tourist like vacation. Acme Oyster House was a welcome surprise. We were trying to get into another restaurant that had a long wait, so we decided to try Acme. The food was perfectly cooked and tasted good. This is will be a favorite for us every time I visit home.

Small place with some excellent food. Cafeteria style ordering but they do deliver the food to your table. Typical BBQ menu items found in most places. The brisket was very tender and tasty and the pulled pork was yummy. We would definitely return for some really good BBQ on our next visit to the area.

Closed due to damage sustained in Hurricane Katrina.
My daughter and I had one of our best meals here. The char-grilled oysters were large and tasty. I wanted to try fried green tomatoes, and totally enjoyed them...this coming from someone that doesn't like tomatoes. We made reservations, which I recommend as it is smaller, and gets busy. Our waiter was awesome. He was friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations. I would definitely go back the next time I am in New Orleans.

Took my parents here for dinner, we're all from out of town. The restaurant was very busy but we still received excellent service from Errol and the whole crew. The food was great, every item was delicious. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
