Read the reviews and decided to take a chance. The beautiful patio lured us in. Made a reservation and showed up to be informed reservations are only for inside and we had to check on outside tables. No communication between upstairs and downstairs. Sat at a table outside. 15 minutes passed before we even got a drink menu. Another 10 minutes before the food menu. We ordered 5 minutes later. An hour and a half later we were told our food would be another 45 minutes. We decided to get up and leave because that is just inexcusable. Asked for the manager who couldnât even come up to talk to us. I will never go back. 2+ hours to get food is ridiculous.

The historic Marsh Tavern was the first building erected on the site of what is today the expansive Equinox resort. One of the first lodging houses in Vermont, its history predates the Revolutionary War. Today it is home to a celebrated restaurant and mee
We were staying at the Equinox for the Dorset Festival Theater, so we decoded to have an early dinner at the Marsh Tavern before the play. We always love the bread board with ciabatta, French bread, olive oil and butter mix, red pepper jelly, carrots, and a piece of fruit (this time a tangerine, but in the past it has often been a plum) served before the meal. Our choices this evening were the Prince Edward Island raw oysters on the half-shell; the baby kale salad; and the roast duck breast (which we shared as the main course). The latter was more than ample and was served with black quinoa, and a butternut squash puree. We even finished up, sharing a delectable lemon cheesecake for dessert. Drinks were a Saratoga sparkling water and coffee. An excellent and delightful meal, accompanied a professional, attentive staff, Highly recommend!

this used to be Maxwell's Flat Road Grill, which sold about a month ago, and by the way, is MUCH better, you really need to list it, btw, I am a regular, but that is neither here nor there. They are doing very well with both locals and tourists which is a
We ate here over the. Columbus Day weekend. This was our second choice. Were we happy. We were seated promptly and young server couldnât have been nicer or more helpful. We were welcomed like we had been regulars. The food if pub grub and delicious. Two of us had the tenderloin steak sandwich, with cheese and peppers, and I had mine with bacon and cheddar mashed potatoes. My wife had a delicious grilled cheese and tomato sandwich on rye, with wonderful coleslaw. The other order was the poutine with cheese and brown gravy which was delightful and the size of this âappetizer â was huge. The beer was cold and the prices just right. It was the right place at the right time after a long day of sightseeing.

One of a chain. Do not confuse with Manchester ME.
Ok, for starters, we had the worlds greatest server, Darlene, who so added to the night. The chicken piccata was tremendous and my wifeâs scallops were dam good given we were inland. Great micro brews on tap- try the Long Tail VT IPA. Great vibe, friendly people, and the perfect casual place to dine and drink.

Unfortunately they were out of some of the menu items we were interested in on a Thursday night at 6 pm, but we started with salads, then I had the sesame crusted salmon with broccoli and cauliflower and my friend got the mushroom ravioli appetizer. They added an extra ravioli because they had been out of the swordfish she originally ordered. The food was good and our server was friendly and apologetic they were out of things.

Owned by an ACF "Vermont Chef-of-the-Year", serving quality food for a moderate price & open 7 nights a week! Patio seating available in warm weather. Choose from a lunch, bar or dinner menu in a casual atmosphere. We also carry a late night menu on Frida
Letâs start with the fact they call this place a taproom. There isnât anything except a small corner turned into a bar. We spent over a $100 for sheer mediocrity. I ordered salad bar and beef barley soup. $18. Salad bar was the equivalent of Golden Corral. A lightly poured glass of Chardonnay was another $10. My husband ordered wings for an appetizerâ- sorry no wings on a Friday night He the ordered scallops. To be specific 6 small scallops with white rice, the same carrots that are in the salad bar and plain steamed green beans. Nothing nothing to discuss other than the $34 price tag. That and a beer got us a tab for over $100 including tip for again a very mediocre waitress who was unsure of herself and forgot to put in his clam chowder. HUGE Huge disappointment. Over priced and not worth a penny. I donât care how many wine awards you may win. You have been warned. Hi Phoebelove. We really take it to heart when we get a "bad" review, because it is an opportunity for us to learn and grow and to improve our process. We agree that the scallop dish needed some work, so we took it off the special menu weeks ago. I could go on about how the rest of your review makes no sense to me, but everyone is entitled to their opinion and I am sorry that your experience did not hit a homerun for you. Do give us another try, because this is not the norm. ~ Nancy

A casual dining experience offering exceptional meals at breakfast and dinner. All of our sauces, soups and dressings our handcrafted on our property. We serve prime cut steaks, fresh seafood, pork loin (one of the favorites after the steaks and seafood)
I recently stayed on the property and Nippers was a nice surprise. I enjoyed a great filet with mashed potatoes and a side caesar. Breakfast the next morning was also very good. The Manchester area is full of expensive restaurants and pricey accommodations. I've been fortunate enough to have traveled extensively, many times on an unlimited expense account. Unfortunately, there are times you can leave without a sense it was worth the price. Not in this case.As others have said, it's very good food at fair prices and well worth visiting for a meal. I'll stop by again.
