"World-famous hamburgers".
The burgers are fantastic and the other offerings on the menu do not disappoint - above average taste and good value.

BB menu is the most diverse menu anywhere, without being huge like chain restaurants. Happy hour is great, Martini Tuesdays has the best martinis in town. The service is great - ask for Emmy. I have several favorites, starting with the turkey burger, lemon chicken, Mediterranean Pasta, and grilled vegetables - not all at once. Outdoor covered seating also .

We stopped in early afternoon on a Saturday. This is a popular sports themed restaurant chain and usually gets crowded during prime lunch/dinner hours. Immediately seated, staff was friendly. Good choice of items on the menu. Many TV's all over the walls and above the bar, with outdoor seating as well. Very fun atmosphere. We had some burgers and chicken sandwiches. Overall the food was good, but nothing special. The prices were a little high, and service was a bit slow. If you're coming to watch a sporting event, have a drink, and socialize, this seems to be a good choice. But just to have a meal, there are better options in the area.

Recently visited The Half Shell with a family member. We ordered a dozen raw oysters and the crab cake appetizer. The oysters were extremely small and dry. The crab cakes were small, pan fried and had a below average flavor. We ordered bisque and half fried oysters and fried shrimp. The bisque was excellent, shrimp were good, oysters were way over cooked. Drinks were good, along with the service. Very nice atmosphere. I will not return due to the food quality. Very expensive for what we received. For the prices, quality should have been much better. Dear tmitchell38305,We are so sorry to hear about your experience at the Covington location. This restaurant serves fried and broiled seafood dishes as well as Louisiana dishes including etouffe and jambalaya. The food is good and fairly plentiful but may not live up to expectations based on the long-standing reputation of the original restaurant. (Sorry) It's also at or above the mid-range in cost, especially if you order drinks and desserts. The dining area is a large open space that has televisions mounted in the corners of the room.

Riverside Bar has been a fixture in the beautiful town of Madisonville, Louisiana for over 20 years. Located on the Tchefuncte riverfront, Riverside caters to locals and visitors alike.
We enjoyed a really nice, late lunch on the deck overlooking the beautiful Tchefuncte river. The waitress was excellent and very helpful, especially with selecting local brews. The food was, as ALWAYS in Louisiana, excellent. As appetizers, we ordered two dozen Oysters on the 1/2 and they were superb. Very plump but not too large, just salty enough... could not have been any better. We split a main (Crawfish etouffee) , and it was prepared to perfection... with plenty to share after the 2 Dz Oysters. We will be going back to the MRB, as we now camp on the North Shore, away from the loudness of the Quarter. We have discovered so many fun things to do in the area, we only go into New Orleans for one day, to hit a few faves (Napoleon House and Commanders), but absolutely love the North Shore. Can't wait to return!
This is the usual Lake Pontchartrain area maritime restaurant. The food is good. The owners do go to a lot of trouble to get decent bands on weekend nights. The place is a bit small. With more than half of the dining tables outside. The atmosphere is ok if you're drinking. If not, or if you have children, this is probably not the place for you. The majority of the clientele is intoxicated.

Our tour group planned a lunch at Morton Seafood. Despite our large group of thirty-six people and the local regulars for lunch, the waitstaff did an outstanding job. Our waiter, Matthew, was very accommodating, pleasant, courteous, and ensured we were not wanting for anything during the meal. The kitchen did a great job, as well. Now the food - can't say enough about the amount given for each and every plate ordered. You could make two/three meals with all the food provided. Taste - terrific. I ordered a dish consisting of fried shrimp, catfish, and oysters with a loaded bake potato and a side salad. My wife had a cup of seafood gumbo and a roast beef po-boy. Others in the group ordered various dishes of fried seafood. Not one complaint from anyone. Everyone was totally pleased. Even with our large group, they handled the individual checks with ease. Forgot to mention the restaurant sits directly across the street from the river providing a great relaxing view.
