Reviews on Bar food in Luxor, Nile River Valley, Egypt. The Luxor in Las Vegas is to the actual CITY of Luxor, Egypt, as marshmallow fluff is to fois gras. (We’re sure you knew that. We just enjoy analogies.) Sure, the hotel/casino in Vegas might have a beam of light visible from space, but we bet you'll find a hot-air balloon ride over the Valley of Kings much more illuminating. (Editor's note: Our list was compiled before political unrest prompted many countries to issue travel warnings for Egypt. If you're currently planning a trip to Egypt, please consider the risks and monitor your government's travel alerts.)

Sindbads is great. I've been going for years and it has never changed. The food isn't anything to get excited about but it's cheap and fine. The beer is cold (and cheap) and it's a cracking little spot in the shade, right by Luxor Temple. Fantastic, friendly and has plenty of character (and characters).

We were hot and thirsty and it has been some time since we last rested at the Rest House, so it seemed a good chance to see how things are.As always, the staff were friendly and the shaded area was comfortable and cool.Sadly, we were the only customers at 9.30 am but we chatted with our driver as we enjoyed the limited choice of cold drinks.

I stayed at Hilton Luxor near from this property. During my stay once I took my dinner here. Fortunately it was a Irish Night so I could have Irish Stew, which I found very tasty. The property has two floors, of which the lower is a bar space, where you can eat also, and the upper is a restaurant. That night there was a SUFI dance performance in a bar space. I enjoyed a lot.The service was also very much good and friendly Very reasonablly priced !

I live on the west bank so rarely go to east bank restaurants but after last Friday that is going to change. What a great evening. I had the cottage pie with cheese which was absolutely great. One of my companions had the liver which I tasted really nice. By coincidence it was pub quiz night, what fun. We didnt leave until midnight, had enormous fun.

Pretty much 12 months have passed since our last visit, and its still a great place to visit for drinks (cheap) and dinner (also cheap). The staff are really friendly. The beer is served ice cold and the barman know how to make a mean cocktail! The mojito and the Long Island ice tea are especially good. We ate a number of different burgers and they're well cooked, served with fries and very filling. We'll definitely be going back next time we're in Luxor.
